I was wondering if you have to have a reg or an expansion chamber to use HPA on a 98 custom?

Nope, neither is necessary. Just use a high-pressure output HPA tank.

Yea just get a good tank and screw it in to your gun, and it should work.

u dont need it, but depending on what size, u may want it. With my custom pro (totally stock, will post results with the upgrades lata) i can get off about 200 balls in my hopper + 3 dye lock lid pods (a.k.a 150 ball pods) without a humungous velocity drop. Now, once i am near done with half of my 3rd pod, well i hit problems. That is with a 48/3000 also. So i get off nearly 650 shots, and i am done with a tank!!!!!!!!

Man I get roughly that or more with my 20oz co2, but don't quote me to that.

i think tippmanns operating pressure is like 800 - 850psi so all you have to do is get an hp tank and your good to go
