I work at a local paintball store, and we are placing a big order for barrels. However we are curious as to what sized (lengths) the average paintball player prefers, and will buy if available. If you are not busy I would really appreciate it if you could post your feedback and help me out here.

I would like to know what barrel length you would buy for your paintball marker. What type of length is your favorite, and one that you would purchase.

It would be helpful to tell me what type of marker you have also, but you dont need to post that.

Thanks a million guys!

I should include that any info from Spyder, Impulse, & Tippmann, & Autococker users would be helpful.

Thanks, again

What's your market? Speedball, woodsball, or both? Woodsball people often think a longer barrel makes them more accurate, so they'll want that. Speedball players want short lengths so they can snap shoot better. I'd personally want a 10" even though I play in the woods, simply because I don't think a longer barrel does anything for accuracy. Noise perhaps, but I'm not worried about that.

i have a 16 inch cp barrel on a rebel and it shoots like a dream but only thing that is bad about it is that it is a little to long so i would have to say get 14 inch barrels i had one i like it b/c more compact and gives u more of an edge in accucy than a 12 or 10 but u r more compact. and yes leaght is bettter for my accurate shots b/c just think of a rifle most are about 25-30 ich barrels somtimes longer if u had a 15-20 inch barrel for them you would not hit a thing.

But in the end i would say get a 14 inch for the best of both worlds:)

depends, with my shocker, if im playing back, i want a 16 or 14 in. for gas efficency cuz ill be going for volume and i dont wanna run outa air, but if im playing front, 12 is good, and if u are playing mid, get a 10. so all are good sizes, but u really should match up lenths with gun type.

A 14in barrel is the best. Its long enough for good accuracy and short enough for speedball.

length as nothing to do with acurracy as long as it is 10 or over and by the way blinkpk11 a longer barrel has less efficiency cause it takes more air to force the ball out of the barrel

Both me and my friend shoot impulses, and we like 12-14'' barrels. 12'' is my personal favorite, but 14'' is also i size i would consider. Just as long as its not longer than 14, i like it. ;)

thanks for the imput guys, a little more... and i'll have a good idea of what to bring in.

as far as accuracy is concerned, your opinions are welcome, but i dont for the purpose of this poll they dont really mater to me. I am just trying to figure out what is the most popular barrel length, that people would buy for their markers in general.

i Agree go with a 14" barrel, i think they help improve accuracy. Even tho my tear drop isn't one i wish it was. Go 14.

My barrels except one are either 12 or 14. I used to think that longer was better but my girlfriend said that wasn't always the case with barrels.

14, helps for manipulating those sup'air bunkers

You are probably right. I only play woods ball and nothing shoots through rock or trees but a good paint and barrel makes a difference when you shoot through brush.

i like 10" the most cause its more comfortable for me to snap shoot with and stuff . . . 12" are cool too and there is a little more there, i would not touch a barrel that is over 14" . . .

I know automag wasn't one of the barrels you specified...but I have 5 barrels, and I find all of them useful sometimes (except that AGD Crownpoint barrel....)

10" Dye Aluminum (speedball/indoor)
11" Crownpoint
12" Dye Boomstick
14" Smart Parts All American
15" J&J 2 piece ceramic

I find the 15" to be very cumbersome when playing bunkers or indoors, as well as the 14". The 10" is just too loud. My prefered length is 12".

12" is my favorite. For your Spyder and other blowback audience, all the way up to your players with Angels, CP makes some excellent barrels at good prices. Not everyone can spend $100 on a barrel, and CP is just the ticket. They come in sexy colors too! Not to mention they're available in 14" and 16" increments as well. I would probably choose to stock 12" and 14", except in for Tippmanns, who will want a 3'9" barrel. (JK Tippy owners. :D)

hmm lengths. i own a impy and a bushy and i also have owned cocker and spyder. lengths- i have a 16 inch on my impy a all american with freak front works great other lenghts i would buy 14 or 16 maybe a 12 if it was a good deal and barrel types i tink im gonna just stick with smart parts they have go to be the best barrels i like them better then dye bore size- i use diablo and only diablo paint i use midnight and blaze and that paint is like .684 i tihnk so i would usualy get a barrel that is .684 or .686 something like that but i tinhk if u order ina bunch of barrels u should see what mnost people shoot for paint around u and get the right bore size for what they shoot.
