get a apex, unless you already have the flatline. It is cheaper, more accurate, goes the same distance, and has multiple settings for curving and drops. I recommend marbs for the flatline.

if u got a flatty, sell it to a loser u play with if u go to a field. And tell him brand new like it prob. is, and then get an apex.

Read the Flatline stickies and run a search. There's a lot of info already out on the Flatty.

you dont have to use the best paint out there.... just test stuff.... when you find something that shoots the way you want with minimal breaks and doesnt break you wallet everytime you play... thats what you use.... not everybody will have the same expirence with the same types of paint

i suggest selling it as well. i have alot of expirience with apex's and they are actually quite accurate at all ranges...well within the range of a paintball.

so to answer your question i recomend marbilizers or a higher priced paintballs, because the flatline is like you said picky, and once you find the right paint you'll no. also to paintbller i no your new and just joined but the mod's dont like when people type in all caps so just some friendly advice.

I doubt the shroud would fit with a flatline on and it would also look stupid.

for the extra 50 feet the flatline/apex adds, the balls bounce, and you can literally catch them.

I believe it is that the consensus feels that you just throw it on and play. I picked up my Flatline maybe the month or two after it came out. Played with it since then, and may have had a total of 5-10 breaks (usually, one break would cause at least another break). If I had to guess, I put maybe 15+ cases in it. I can also say that the majority of the breaks were cause by myself, like not turning the hopper on. My gun varies in velocity maybe 10 FPS, on a bad day (5 up, 5 down). Your gun setup is as important to it working correctly as is the paint you use. For other barrels, I've gone up against Apex barrels on other Tippmanns before, and have not felt outgunned. The only way my Flatline is hard to use is against electronics that are shooting at higher rates of fire. But still, you learn to adapt to it.
Paint-wise, look for small bore paint. RPS has a couple of different kinds that work great. I also liked the harder shell, being less of a chance of problems in the gun. Like said before, test some different brands out. Also consider where you are buying it from (a dedicated paintball store is going to handle them better than a Wal-Mart).

I still say the apex is better, but it is just a matter of opinion.

flatlines were very popular...almost a fad....but now everyone is starting to realize....."hey...they can shoot an extra 50ish feet.....but its innacurate as hell" even the apex is innacurate at long ranges. you can get just as good accuracy for half the price with some of the barrels that are out these days

well the game came and went / my gun didn't even get used because my gun was missing its dent clip and the field i was at didn't have any kicking around so, I did 't even get to tune it, WHAT A LET DOWN
