Getting organized, The Final Frontier

So as I was finally cleaning out my apartment and tossing things away, doing massive amounts of laundry, dishwashing and reorganizing, I felt very accomplished. My house looks nice and any Mom would be proud. So I'd say a good 60% of the things I own are paintball related. I've been playing fo 3 years and have always tried to get organized, but things always go to heck when I try. I finally took all my parts and tid-bits and bought a gigantic tool box, problem solved? No. All my other gear either hangs out in the car or in a pile on the floor. So I ask you PBR, how did you get organized and if you haven't yet I hope some people can help us out!

My Eclipse gear bag now hold all of my old, non-used gear and was recently only used as a suitcase.

I have 3 shelves in my basement closet that I reserve for paintball.
Top- Mask & paint
Middle- Marker, Loader, Airtank, Barrels, Marker parts, Tools, etc.
Bottom- Pb related clothes, cleats, harness

We have two of those huge tupperware totes 36" x 24" x 20". Extra masks pads and pods in one. Extra markers (5) barrels (countless) hoppers (6) and a boatload of other pb junk. The gear bag has the stuff we regularly use. so in the corner of the junk room is a stack of pb gear about 5' high.

i do pretty much the same thing, but recently i've gotten alot more stuff, so when i'm not playing, i throw everything paintball-related into a corner in my closet.

I'm trying to avoid most of the things stated in here. It drives me nuts. I'm not a clean-freak but just want things kinda in one place.

i put everything in my bag and kinda everywheere in my room, but i used 2 put have a 5 shelf cabinet in my basement where i kept my stuff all organized, if ur putting it in ur basement make sure its not to humid/damp or ur stufff will rust and ur paint will be ruined

I just leave my stuff leaning up aginst my wall or in the floor, I'm not very organized either, so no help here.

I have three different large toolboxes that I use.

Large: Marker, harness, clothes, harness, paint

Medium: Tank, hoppers, 12grams

Small: Tools, lubes, etc

And it's all stacked nicely in the corner of my room.

Ah, paintball storage. I used to have paintball crap all over the house. Now that's kept pretty minimal. I've still got a steel braided hose and a Trix lpr on my computer desk and a duckbill asa somewhere in the living room. Everything else, though, is gathered in a small area of my garage as follows:

- All 'for sale' gear is in 2 cardboard boxes and 1 medium-sized duffle bag.
- Most gear currently in use fits into my mega Bodybag (http://www.paintballbodybags.com/): Ion & Trix, hpa tank, Halo, barrels & accessories (condom, squeegees, etc), all pads, all apparel, some spare parts, couple spare pods, rags, handheld chrono, some other stuff i probably forgot about.
- Mask & shoes have their own little bags.
- Pods have their own ghetto "stand/box/thing" made from a printer paper box.

When i play, i'll fill the pods the night before and put whatever gun i'm gonna use plus tank, hopper, barrel/barrel kit (& etc) into a Redz gun bag. Then i toss a change of clothes, a couple Gatorades, my pack and a couple bags of paint into a paper bag. So when i show up to the field, i've got a ghetto pod box, gun bag & paper bag. :party:

i took the clothes out of my dresser, threw them in a corner and put my pb stuff in the dresser.

I bought a house with a garage. The garage stores the paintball stuff. Items requiring work go into the office. It works as long as there aren't a lot of items requiring maintenance.

just make sure you put the heavy objects on bottom and the lightest stuff on top.

Sadly I don't think most of our budget's have a housing plan in them. And shame on you for keeping your guns in the garage.
