If anyone has a Core Sharc that is green could they post a picture of it outside in the woods. I can't decide whether to get a green or black. I have been told that the green it is too bright, but other people say it is fine. I think seeing it and forming my own opinion would be best for me, but your opinions are welcome too. Thanks a lot!

Ok, maybe no one has a picture of it in the woods but if you have any picture of it at all please post it.

this may not be of your liking, but i was just like you a few months ago. Sit down and listen to my story. I thought the shark was a really good deal and a sweet gun so i went ahead and asked for it for christmas. My parents ordered it from paintballonline.com After receiving it 2 months later, i went to shoot it for the first time. I hooked up the CO2, no leaks and shot it. First shot was really good, nice and straight. When i went to shoot again, nothing would happen. I got mad and went inside and took the air off and examened it. I noticed that the bolt had not cocked back far enough to let the next ball enter. So when i went to shoot again after putting the air on, i had to cock it everytime i shot it. I didn't know how to fix this myself so i took it to my local pb shop. They looked at it, and determined that there was really nothing i could do because the internals are so wierd. Im not educated in the way of the internals so i can't go into detail. Obviously, i didn't like that so i wrote to paintballonline.com After not hearing them for months i wrote two more times. I never heard from them. Finally, i had my parents contact there credit card company. My dad is a lawyer so he prepared some fancy-smancy letter to the credit card company. Somehow, they got a credit for the amount of the gun on their report. Now, i still have the gun in my room after 3 months. This may not have happened to other people but i do warn that if you buy this gun you will get no customer support or anything like you would get with a tippmann or a spyder.
Core is a very shady company. I tried to find where there company was located but came out with nothing. The box my gun came in had a different picture then what the gun actually was also. Just some more wierd things about this gun. I may have gotten a lemon or something but the whole ordeal has been a really hassle.

Core is in Taiwan. They have no contact numbers at all. Your only bet is to call paintballonline.com if you have any problems (which you will).
I used to be a supporter of Core. Even if you get your Sharc in good functioning condition, it won't stay that way. It shoots well, but the gun won't even last 2 months of light play. The sharc is a real piece of junk. I had one for 5 months. It practically fell apart in my hands. I tried and tried to get it functioning. Once I fixed one thing, another problem would arise. All of them relating to poor manufacuring, and cheap parts. I had my drive spring break, my sear spring break, my trigger spring break, my sear pin break, many o-rings blow, and had excessive bolt wear because it's made of clay-soft metal.
I had hopes of selling my Sharc after I get my autococker, but those hopes went in the trash...right after my Sharc did.
Don't buy from Core, period.

Well, that will make me think twice about getting a Core Sharc. But if they are so bad, why are the reviews so good. Has anyone had the gun for a long time with no problems?

my guess is that most of the people that reviewed it are people that have had it for a month and have never used it. They think it looks cool and because they spent money on it, it is awesome. You tend to have a bias when its something you bought because you don't want to admit that it is a peice of crap. My problem wasn't so much with the gun itself - altough that was part of it, it was with paintballonline.com and Core. They wouldn't listen to me, they wouldn't do anything. You could listen to the people on the reviews, or you could listen to people who have bought it and used it, either way, i would not buy this gun.

that sounds good. right now i am gonna have another place look at it, if they can fix it i guess i could sell it to you for really cheap. If they can't i can send it to you. Im not a big fan about just giving it to you though. i would probably want a small downpayment or something..... e-mail @ illusive_idiot@hotmail.com

Well it shoots very well when you first get it, but it's not made of quality materials. It's shoots well until it falls apart.

I agree, I thought it was a great gun. The first time i shot it, the ball was perfectly straight, good velocity, and went very far. It was after that that the gun seemed to be heading for the dark side. If you want something that's good and lasts, buy a tippmann.

Hey, you guys that are having trouble with your guns, someone said on a post that they live by paintball-online and that you can call them to get help. I looked to see if I could find that post again but I just can't find it. Maybe you can send your guns back or something. I've heard of people doing that and the gun that they got sent back was better because the gun was improved. When did you guys buy your guns? If you are the person that lives by paintball online please say so.

My Sharc hasn't given me any trouble yet. Just to let you know Lothar, this gun isn't bad. I know 4 people that have this gun, one being me. I and the other 3 people haven't had any major problems with our Sharcs. The only problem I had with mine was chopping some paint after I bought a Mako storm frame for mine. That was due to the sear in the frame not being adjusted correctly, and thats not even a problem with the gun. So I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a marker that shoots straight and far and looks cool. I Guarantee if you buy the green one people on the field will be asking you about it. Even those guys with the Cockers and Angels.
P.S. I know because I have the green one and it happens to me every time.

whats up with the Core having a drop forwards??? does that make any sense?
sosoguy01

It actually has a drop backwards. They say it increases CO2 effienciancy by tilting the tank down.

yeah that's what I meant.
but it could still tilt the tank downwards without going so far back, the degree of the tilt is not effected by the length

NickO, have you ever paintballed in the woods instead of speedball? If you have, did the gun stick out from being too bright. Also, how long have you had your gun?

Just get the black one. My neighbor has a blue one and its reflects off light a lot. And I saw a pic of the green one and its even brighter. So just get the black one because the only thing shiny on it is the silver trimnings. My neighbor also had to tightened his screws and stuff just so you know if you do get it.

yeah i mostly play in the woods and it doesnt seem to stick out that much. Well for me it doesnt matter. cuz im a middle or front player, and im not really hiding from the people i just shoot them before they shoot me. but if you want it not to stick out at all get the black. by the way i have the green one.

You guys
My friend owns a Core Sharc, he uses it all stock etc.
And its NICE, its plenty accurate and fairly good with co2, only problems are the grips are plastic, and the trigger frame screws came loose and fell off. Its a good gun for the price, ACCURATE stock barrel.
I would suggest a spyder shutter, www.paintballgear.com

Here is a picture of the older model and newest model of the Core Sharc. As you can see improvements are being made all the time. In my opinion I would get black over the green if you're worried about visibility in the woods. If you're having problems with them, I would suggest calling up Paintball Online, they have parts and techs there that could probably help.

It seems liek that bad stuff happened to the old version of the sharc... i just got one and i hope it doesnt go down the toilet, it works fine so far. I have green to black fade... it looks nice but then when you play it shines like hell.
I got my son a core shark and as everyone says it's a great gun at first. The only problems we've had with it is the comp. chamber keeps blowing o-rings. I took the filter out of the top and unscrewed the bottom and inside is a metal restrictor basically a flat piece of (potmetal) with a slot cut off one side to resrict the flow and this piece will bend which will alow the bottom to com out and the o-ring to blow out. I haven't contacted core yet but will tomorrow and find out what and if they will do anything about this. I'll be sure and post a reply as to what kind of service I get.
 We shall soon see:|

It seems to me in order to make good sense that www.paintballonline.com should address some of these problems. They are probably losing a lot of sales because of post like the above and the fact that (they?) don't take care of these problems.:pissed:
If I ran a paintball store I would try to treat my costumers better than this and I would have some company in CONUS make my guns for me instead of having them made over seas even if it cost me a little more money.
I only own one gun made overseas and that is an Armson and I traded for it.
