The 2k6 chaos board

I have the 2k4 board but i was wondering is the 2k6 board better? Is it faster? Is it worth buying?

it has more ramping modes, and you don't need to use the V-link to use them. also, it automatically comes with the Vlink and software, whereas the Vlink for the 2004 had to be bought separately. in terms of semi, you shouldn't notice any difference in speed. if you want the extra ramp modes for tourneys, or want to be able to switch between ramping and semi modes at the field, then get the 2006 board, I am thinking about doing this. otherwise you might as well stick with the 2004.

Now the chip is like 60% off and it doesnt come with the software. I bought the software for the 2k4 board. Is that compatable with the 2k6 board?

nope, the 2k4 and 2k6 boards use different Vlink cables, so the Vlinks and Vlink software are not compatible between the 2k4 and 2k6 versions.
