wtf why do people say its shinny and the only reason they hate the spyder is that its to easy to see when u in the woods i think that when u see some1 ur goin to notice there body before u see there gun and that is even if u see there gun i dont even really pay attention to that

I have a phat, STS. Nitro, drop foreword, reg, all for $235 so far. How much was your shutter with mini reg(which doesn't work) and mini xchamber(which is useless) and that guage that doesn't read correctly? Nothing on the shutter works. It's crap. A junk heap. I sold mine because the bolt kept jamming and my gun wouldn't fire. I payed 260, but that was five months ago, they might be cheaper now, but still not worth having. My STS is reliable. You should have bought the TL+ if you had to have a spyder. You can add all those upgrades and get stuff that works for cheaper. Mini translates to (this piece of crap don't work)so keep that in mind when you start to hate your marker. If you get lucky you might be able to trade it straight across for a tl+. I would recomend staying away from kingman products though.

Well, the shutter can be good if you upgrade it but it is better to start with a piranha unless you hate piranhas for some reason. Also the G3's look really nice and it's going to a great stock gun. http://www.acepaintball.com u can pre-order the g3's there

K cran sorry, but for the same price u shoulda bought a piranha pro.... I know u can't say that a shutter looks better then a pro with it's splash job, and it's got a way better stock setup, but i guess everybodies allowed to make a mistake every now and then.

yea but when i bought my shutter the pirana pro wasnt out yet whats up with the flush cocking system like how does it work and why does it come with a clear barrel
Skull
04-17-2001, 02:22 PM
r u talkin bout the pro?!! It doesn't have a clear barrel, and i like the flush cockin system, leaves less room for dirt and grime to get into the gun..
cranberynvodka
04-17-2001, 02:31 PM
how does the flush cocking work i know it doesnt go back and forth like rear cause theres no beaver tail and it does have a clear barrel or glass or somethin
Skull

r u lookin at the g3 series, the ext g3 series has a clear barrel, and flush cockin, but a g2 pro series doesn't have either.

THe flush cockin is the same as the cockin mechanism on ACI f4s, the bolt cycles internaly. U cock the bolt from the back one time, and then it cycles internaly without ne xternal movement. It's pretty sweet

i did all my upgrades for 225 and i'd rather have my gun than a shutter anyday, i'd say start basic and upgrade for your first gun, sooner or later you'll figure out what you really want get a job sell your gun and buy the new one (gone my eye set on the impulse)

I think it's better simply because if u'r out playin in the kinda conditions i'm used to, u really want as few exposed parts as possible. That was one of my mane turn offs on the shutter, that zebra cocking bolt left the cockin mechanism wide open for dirt and crap to get into the gun (i do have to say atleast they got smart and put a quick strip pin on the shutter). I don't know whats up with the barrel, but it looks erily similar to the automag rt barrel don't u think?!!

naw its nothin like that the rt barrel is black the pro ext bareel is kinda like the ramrod

well I say the shutter is a fine marker.....it worked great for me out of the box......and after I did alittle work to it ....it now kicks A**..I will go up against anyone with any marker.....auto's included.....and feel just fine going head to head with them.....(I feel auto's are for spraying and praying..nothing more...takes no skill to pull the trigger once and just hose a bunker)..
JMO...
One more thing..my shutter looks damn good....and I have never gotten dirt in the bolt....

why do ppl like you say that the m98 is a piece of **** when its not. most of you ppl that diss guns usually are stupid ***gots anyway. why dont you just buy your own gun, and leave other ppl alone.

I think all blow backs are sweet....i'm very easy to please.
I have no regrets about my piranha pro (g2) and as far as upgrading goes, its really close to spyders capabilites. The only thing that is differant is the frame and the bolt.
The spyder is a great gun and so is the tippmann. I have a friends which own them. The tippmann is not a crappy gun. It's built with high quality. And it is definitely not a copy of another gun. It also will not break on the field. which is very reassuring. Tippmann are very wierd to get used to taking them apart, being that they dissemble unlike any other gun i've seen. I wish people would not be so biased towards one gun or another unless you have had personal experience. Well i've said to much.

the pirahna g2s are nice, but what i've found is that the tl+/shutter are a lot more balanced. the g2s are made a little too compact, throwing off the balance of your gun once you screw on a tank.

Shutters are horrible. I had one and sold it, and got myself a nice STS g3. And ill tell u the G3 can take aany spyder any day. The SHutter makes no sense for one thing. It has a regulator which lets you control the pressure, normally lowering it, but than it has an expansion chamber to reach a higher pressure. So virtually the regulator is useless. And they charge you 30 extra bux for it. I would get a Piranha over a Shutter, but if your a spyder lover or something id go with the TL Plus

i dont think its that bad but im still new and i have no clue what a reg really does i like my shutter tho its great i was looking foward to gettin the g3 but it wasnt out when i bought my shutter but i have no regrets on gettin a shutter

REXY,......you have a compact 2000....so how can you say with such conviction that a shutter sucks.....you do know that the shutter is built with the same parts as the compact...but has just a few more stock parts.....right...so if the shutter really sucks....then that has to be the case with the 2000 ..so take it easy...it doesn't suck....it's just not what you chose to get...

i have a shutter and like it i know it has its faults but hey just about every gun does and we could argue about them all day, i bought mine when i didnt know alot about them and have since bought a new reg, barrel, and drop forward, and now i have it set up like i want it, i probably should have just went ahead and bought a cocker bc i have enought in my shutter to buy one but you live and you learn, then main thing i like about the shutter is the color i love blue and if it costs me more to get the color i want then who cares bc i am happy and that is all that matters
