whats the difference between the Ultra tips and the regular Driver style tips for the Evil Pipes? is it worth the extra money? (please do NOT go on talkin about other barrels/barrel kits, i know there are better ones out there)

The regular is just regular, and the ultra is ULTRA.

the regular fronts are smooth tapered to the end, the ultra tips have a slight bulge toward the tip. really no difference except in looks. both have angled porting and micro honed finish.

so for $10-15 extra...all it is, is a regular Pipe tip with a tumor?

I've heard the normal fronts being brittle. The ultra apparently is not...which is a good thing.

if you feel the normal tips, they are seriously tapered to ~1mm. not sharp enough to cut something, but thin enough to bend a considerable amount if slammed into a hard bunker or scraped across the floor
so yea. tumors for protection.

ehh....i play back so that doesnt concern me...but performance wise, is it any better than regular fronts?

it's a barrel tip, so probably not. the biggest factor on accuracy is the paint-to-bore match, and thats decided with the back you use. tips affect how loud it is, and affect accuracy a little with the amount of porting. not as much as the bore match, of course.

It is supposedly quieter, but I don't know how valid that is. But you shouldn't see any performance difference, except that it weighs more.

Its really what you like in the look of style that is all there really is. I have a regular tip and have never had any problems out of it. This barrel is one of the most accurate I have hade.
