I've finally convinced my brother to let me have his custom pro. I've missed my A5, so I hope to dull the pain a little by tricking out this custom as a back up. I'd like anyone's advice on what to do to accomplish this. I don't trust myself enough to polish the internals, so please don't suggest it. (don't even know if it does anything) I have $200 to spend to up this for speedball, and since I already have a nitro tank and a halo b, I think that should be enough. What I am definitly getting is an egrip. I was thinking a rampage pro-e trigger, and maybe some other ups. Don't want the centerfeed either btw. Basically wanna see peoples faces when they get mowed in the face in a tourney by a custom pro. :D
-Thanks, I know its a round about way of saying it...

Rampage and trigger
Regulator and VA
Nice barrel or barrel kit
A good on/off ASA

That's probably what I would look into.

im waiting for duke to chime in with an lpk, centerfeed and a cyclone kit with vortex and qev with an apex barrel. lol. jp duke.

get a good barrel kit. you dont know what kind of paint you will have to use, so the barrel kit id buy first. and a good reg. that all you will need.

It already has a linear barrel, not sure I need a kit, cause imo it can shoot anything fine. If I wanted accuracy like my shocker, maybe, but this is just suppose to be a fall back for when some of my teammates guns break. Last tournament, mine and my friend's markers broke, and we had to play the last game of the prelims 3 on 5.. We woulda advanced to the semis had we had all our players on the field.. Just don't want that happening again.

bascially, get any feed that suits u, i say cyclone or direct feed or centerfeed, all work. Next, get a egrip. Ape Rampage's Work beautifully. Finally, get a reg or lpk.....i like lpk cuz it reduces recoil and it is quieter and more consistant and efficient.

Yes pbmike i would suggest that, but i am lazy and just yelled at someone for posting yet ANOTHER barrel question. Gosh dang there is a forum called "Barrels and Paint" annoy people there.

o yea and ICU, i am with u, everyone thinks u need a EP KILLER GUN to be kool. wait till after xmas when i got my gun rollin like theirs, and they'll be scared.

Kinda don't have enough money for all that, don't mind having a side feed, or the rocking of the bolt without lpk. Already got a halo b. So I guess what I'm really asking is whats the best trigger..since I already have everything else... I heard great things about the rampage pro e trigger.

lol duke i know how you feel. sme guy in the ion forum thinks its cool/funny to put a 24 inch barrel on an ion....jesus...so wonder why people hate ions. i told him to go put it on a tippmann. maybe he will come into this forum....im sure you'd like to yell more. haha

just keep it simple though. the more complex your gun is the worse it willbe if it breaks on the field. keep the tippmann the way it should be...durable and easy to fix. the egrip and a good kit will work just fine.

Well, that was basically my plan to begin with, just wanted to see if there is anything that makes it a cut above the rest.

You don't trust yourself enough to polish the internals? It's easy as crap. Buy some steel wool, take the gun apart, get to work. I did it on my a5 awhile back and it actually did make a slight difference.

Whenever I take 98's apart.... stuff goes down. I know everything about the marker, and even still, something always happens, thats why I said that.

Barrel, reg/VA, maybe a a different drop or rail according to taste.

After that you're all in preference calls and stuff that's borderline in the difference making dept.

You might try the ghetto anti-chop mod, but if you're not going to polish your internals, I doubt you'd be willing to try that. If m98.net(or .org, or whatever it was) is still out there I believe they were the ones selling the parts for it.
