Does anyone know if the 98c Shocktech Superfly bolt will fit smoothly when coupled with the OPSGEAR Interceptor 18 inch barrel? I know I heard that the bore size on the barrel is either execptionally large or small, I dont quite remember which, or if it is even true. Any help would be appreciated.

Barrels will work with any bolt. The bolt is inside the gun and doesn't go to the barrel. You'll have to worry about paint to barrel match not bolt to barrel. In short yes the shocktech bolt will work with the opsgear barrel

Yes it will fit, I don't see how the bore size of your barrel is going to affect your bolt.

The bolt pushes paintballs into the barrel, but the two never touch. Therefore any barrel with the right threads should work, including the one you mentioned (although are you sure you want an 18" barrel? 12-16" is ideal)

longer barrels are best tho! you can surrender people from a larger distance

The Superfly will fit, but the stock bolt is much better. Leave the stock one on there.
Stock bolt is not good, plastic = crap, who you think your kidding? Besides, my current bolt is aluminum from DOP, with the powerseal.
Also I was under the impression that the tip of the bolt just barely entered the bottem of the barrel. If it doesn't, what is the o-ring on the front of the bolt for?
Yes I want 18 inch, go check the demo on opsgears website.

The o-ring is to help seal the bolt.

The superfly is plastic (delrin) too.
Numerous tests on legit paintball websites have been run that show that the stock bolt/hammer/etc. is virtually as good or better than ANY aftermarket internal piece. 95% of members here at PBR will agree with that statement. If my memory serves me correctly, the Superfly was one of the WORST bolts tested and was clearly a huge downgrade from the stock bolt. If I remember the numbers right, the DOP model is much better than the Superfly, and it rivals the stock bolt - if not SLIGHTLY beating it.
Keep your current combo unless you want to hurt your performance and waste money.
First I was aware that delrin is a form of plastic. Second Im gonna give you the benefit of the doubt because you seem to know what your talking about and you didn't totally rip a new one on my scopes on 98c thread. But I know from basic knowledge that the DOP bolt is better for cupping the paintball then the stock. So I might take your word and not get the superfly, I have more important upgrades to focus on for now. Thanks for the help

DOP was the best. New Superfly was equal to stock bolt and worse than the DOP. The old Superfly was the one I was thinking off.

I really wouldn't have expected that to be so, but I guess I was wrong.
