About how many times per month do you get to go play paintball at a field?

I only get to go about 2 times per month. It really sucks. I wish paint wasn't so friggin expensive. With my old job, a usual check was about $350-$420 2x per month (seems like a lot, but its not after you pay some bills and gas)... I just got a new job, but its difficult to see what I'll be making, since I'm not sure of my hours. Lets say I work as much as I did at my previous job. About 35 hours a week. That'd = $250.25 (before tax). Take the same number of hours for my new job, and it would be $449.75 before tax WEEKLY (AND I get commission on top of that). So I expect to be going at least weekly soon (I really hope so!!!)

If you don't go much, what are the main barriers holding you back? For me, its obviously the price of everything, and the price of gas. I have a really bad habit of only buying premium paintballs, teehee:blush: I also need a little bit of healing time inbetween, so I don't think I'd be able to play consecutive games 2 days in a row:eyes: Another thing I just remembered... I'm still buying all my gear, so I tend to buy that a bit at a time too. The game before last I played, my Halo shell busted (go figure), so I spent $55 for a Hybrid shell. Along with $100 for a new barrel kit. My money goes fast like that. Add in the $75 for paint (one case at a store, and 2 bags at the field), $15 entry, $8 all day air, and $40 for gas. Whee. A nice fat chunk of my paycheck.

money :( I shoot 2 cases a day. gets spendy. I play twice a month though. luckily I have a job and am only 16 so no bills otehr than helping with car payment and gas.

From March/April-November I go every weekend. Dec-March is my offseason and I only go if it's unusually gorgeous.

I USED to play every week. That was back when I was playing for next to nothing. I was paying $20 every time I went, then maybe $10 in gas to get to and from the field.

Unfortunatly, that gravy train ended :( now I am stuck playing every couple of months. Since January I have played 4-5 times. ANd this is with a full time, well paying job. In the middle of January I am going back to school full time, so I will have to settle for a crappy job for a while. So i probably won't play at all.

The main reason for not playing so much is Money. the 2nd is Time. Money because I have bills to pay (it sucks getting older) and gas is a huge expense for me right now. Since Yesterday (thursday) morning until now, i have driven 150 miles. it sucks having a ~45 mile commute to work :banghead: Time is a factor because i rarely get to see my g/f during the week, so I want to spend the weekend with her. She doesn't like to play as much as I do, so she doesn't always want to go play. besides, that would get way too costly.

I am thinking about working at a field while I am back in school. maybe then I can get free entry and discounted paint so I can play more often. Who knows though. As long as eventually i get to go play once a week or every 2 weeks.

I go about 2 times a month. At my field it's 5$ for air, 5$ for field fee, and 24 for 2 bags of stinger, which I get. My dad likes to come too and when he does he pays for everything :D. He wants to play while he still can cause he's about to hit 50.

I tend to play about 3x a month, but recently I've only been playing once every six weeks because of school and work obligations. I usually only play 2-3 times between December and February, as indoor play is meh and its a good time to recoup funds.

I go about once a month. Money and time are the limiting factors for me. Although I only shoot about 700 balls each time (~$10), it's the field fee ($15) and gas (~$10) that hold me back from going more often.

Usually 2 times a month. I could go a lot more (I play pump usually and shoot 300 max a day), but I prefer going with friends, who can't always get the money to go weekly.:|

Soccer practices and games, track, snowboarding, homework, Bears games, all hold me back.

I play about 4 times a month, but depending on money and weather I might play more or less. But I take the winter off, and save up for the next season.
