Like most markers, the cup seal is on the valve pin which runs through the valve. The hammer hits the valve pin, pushing the cup seal away from the back of the valve, allowing air to go through. It's basically a seal in a cup shape, hence the name, that seals the valve closed.
In the picture, the white plastic thing on the valve pin is a cup seal. Although size and shape will vary by manufacturer, they all have the same basic design (except for the RAT valve).

DEGASS (I learned the hard way*), unscrew the place where the valve is in front of the trigger, don't scratch the seal when you take the pin out, and unscrew the cup seal which should be the white thing.
*When I didn't know anything, I unscrewed it when i had a little 12 gram in my adapter which i didn't want to waste. The gun basically exploded, the trigger frame and valve completely separating from my gun and parts scattering. My ears were ringing, and parts were scattered all around the room. I'M SO GLAD that I didn't have my tank in my gun! The only part I didn't find was my valve spring. I had to buy a new one.
