yes, it would. the same goes if you buy a w.a.s board. you need to check and make sure your impulse is drilled for eyes as well.

if you have a tombstone shapped plastic cover behind the right detent, your gun is vision ready.
If you want to upgrade to blackheart, you'll also need to start with a cricket board. (if your board turns on with a button in back, instead of a sliding switch on the side, it's a cricket)

All Imps since about serial #6000 (around mid 01) have been vision ready. Some were before that. You don't need to start with a cricket as the parts needed(power button and dwell covers) can be purchased easily online or at many pro shops. There was a "cricket conversion kit" which may still be available.

not exactly. WAS is a bit more complicated as you have to file out your vision slot to accomodate the larger eye.
But yeah, if you have the slot it is CAPABLE of any vision board (modifications may be required on some).

Because I bought it for $100 on orderpaintball.com and I dont know if they are the most current version of not. I hope they are. So first i need to get a cricket board then I can get my black heart board? That sounds kind of expensive. Maybe an impulse was the wrong choice.

Right now, I don't see any $100 impy's on orderpb. You should throw up the link you got it from, and we can check up on it for you. more'n likely, you have a 'current' blind impy with a cricket board on it already. I also suggest you read the ultimate sticky at the top of our impy board, you can learn up about your different upgrade options.

You'll be fine. No, you don't need a cricket board first. If by chance it is an old slide switch (last built in early 02), you only need the power button and dwell covers. These can be had for a few bucks.
When it comes in, check the serial#. If it is above ~14000 just buy the blackheart and you are done.
PM me if you need help. Mine is an old slide switch Imp and it was easy to update.

I'm almost sure that the $100 Impulse deal on orderPB was for a blind Impulse with a cricket board.
Let us know when it arrives..I've got a few extra WAS boards here, I just need to spend sometime flashing them to the latest code, and testing them out, to make sure they work.

I got my impy and it has the tombstone behind the right eye. And i think it has the crickette board because when i turned it on it made a loud chirp sound and the button to turn it on is on the back. But it did not come with the vertical regulator it was pictured to have this one is smooth. I also bought a LPR kit and im not sure how to install it.
