wtf, it is soooo dumb when cocker owners bash snipers for makin paintball look warlike. They say its bad pr and looks bad when people call themselves snipers.
WELL GUESS WHAT YOU IDIOTS????? THE AUTOCOCKER COMPANIES NAME IS "WORR GAME PRODUCTS" i guess we gotta bash you now. i guess since the gun you own is made by people who decided to name that their company would make products for "WORR GAMES" then that makes our sport look like its just a whole bunch of camod out militant hicks running around with assault rifles and looking for "CHARLIE" on the "FLANKS", trying to kill each other in an all out bloodbath, and sooner or later, some left-wing anti-gun liberals are gonna shut our sport down.
goddamn, you think what i just said was stupid and far-fetched? thats the same way you sniper-bashers sound. Jezus, live and let live, its just a game, if you dont like "snipers" or "arrogant tourney players", dont flame them, just frickin beat em in a game. If you cant beat em in a game of pball, i guess their strategies and gamestyles work, or else you wouldve won.
sorry, i just had to vent. Oh yeah, this isnt aimed at all cocker owners, jsut stupid *****es who are pist cuz they got nailed by a sniper or bunkered by a tourney style player so they go on a forum and flame them for their play style.

dude, you gotta look past what is said, you guys are just too detail oriented. The meaning of my post is to show howstupid people can be when they flame people. Yess, i know worr game products are named affter budd orr, and i doubt budd wants paintball known as a war game. The point is that some people are insecure overzealous idiots, who think if we call our marker, (
or whatever the fu.ckin PC term is nowadays) then the liberals will shut us down.
Or if our sport is for some unknown godforbidden way portrayed or thought of by the media as a warlike sport, then we will be thought of as militant warlike people and we will all get shut down.
Jeezus H. Christ, i entered this sport thinkin it would be so cool to sit back in camo with an M16 looking "gun" and "snipe""kill" eveyrone with a big sniper scope. Thats why i wanted to play paintball, cuz i thought it was like playing army. Call me stupid, but i bet 99% of newbies have the same mindset as i used to have.
OUR SPORT IS SEEN AS WARLIKE!!! THE GENERAL PUBLIC THINKS OF PAINTBALL AS A BUNCH OF STUPID KIDS RUNNING AROUND WITH ASSAULT GUNS PRETENDING TO KILL EACH OTHER!!!! if you still deny that fact, you are an idiot, almost as idiotic as the general public.
Another fact, is that even if our sport involved huge battle tanks, and markers that were exact models of firearms, and if we were all rude as.sholes (oh wait, most of us are), and we all had killer mind-sets, they would still not shut us down. Think about it, our sport has been around for nearly 2 decades, and the only laws they have passed are rules rgulating paintball to designated courts, and the classification of paintball guns as deadly weapons if involved in a crime. i fully support those laws. Now in 20 years the only thing they could do was pass those two laws.
The only time i can forsee paintball being shutdown is after the 2nd amendment is abolished and/or hunting is banned. The anti-gun liberals have AN AS.SLOAD MORE ISSUES TO B.ITCH ABOUT THEN SOME KIDS RUNNING AROUND FLINGING BALLS OF PAINT AT EACH OTHER.

I agree that calling paintball guns markers isn't going to do anything, but making paintball guns look like real guns is, think about if your in the woods and someone comes walking by and thinks you have a gun, you know what they're going to do? They are going to call the cops. Now if there were a bunch of people with paintball guns that look a lot like real guns, don't you think there is going to be a problem in that town between the cops and paintballers.

Back to the topic. Ok, calling them markers might help, might help very little, might not help at all, but it can't hurt. Calling them guns may not change things, but it can't help. Play the odds.

or writes like Incube
Yeah I know what you meant on that UT.
Back to the topic though I think you're wrong and need to start using capitals Tai Mai Shu. When me and my friends were newbies we weren't military wanna-bes like it sounds you were and we were a whole lot more interested in speedball then being a "sniper" in woods games, and I don't know anybody that wasn't.
errr.....Why do you put the beatdown on cocker owners? I could make of snipers if I had a Black Maxx. Oh, and what is your address?

And btw, I think a cocker would probably make a pretty good sniper gun.

cockers are good sniper guns.

I would consider sniping more of a stealth style of play. I mean, in military definitions, sniping is alot different. But in paintball, i could and do see people playing "sniper" and staying behind with a accurate gun, and finding weak spots to pick off their opponents.
Note:That only counts for woodsball. As much as I would like to see a guy in a full ghille suit, with a marker that has a scope and bipod playing in a game of speedball(   ), its just not feasible.

wait a second, doesn't WGP also make a paintball gun called the "sniper"? I don't mind snipers, but I do mind hypocrits too. So the company Worr Games Products also makes a gun for snipers. Why are cocker owners bad for owning a WGP product, but sniper owners aren't? Maybe I am just mad because I am a cocker owner that likes to snipe. And by the way, they are good guns for it. They are basically an upgraded sniper.

Yeah, they do. I actually think they make 2 types of "Snipers"

WGP has 2 markers with the term "Sniper" in them. The Sniper II and the Sniper III. Pretty much just autocockers that don't auto-cock  .

I dont think thier can be snipers in paintball simply because the balls drop off really quickly snipers dont shoot any closer then a 100 yards so nobody really snipes in paintball. I think calling guns markers does help. Guns kill people paintballs dont they are not guns they are toys if anything else. Calling them markers seperates the two so people who dont know about the sport dont automatically think of simulated death when thy hear the word gun. I happen to own a cocker and I think the majority of people who call themselves snipers are newbies. Ever notice how the spyder and tippmann owners always get hammered by the players that own cocker mags angels etc. Normally this isnt just the guns the people who invest 1000's in thier guns normally are very experianced players. Of course thier is the exception of the rich snob. If the experianced players choose not snipe and you never see them with sites or 18" barrels on thier guns doesnt it tell you something about sniping. Sniping was a term used for real war not a game. Yes worr game products does indicate that it is a game that simulates war and it is however it is not a sniping game its mostly close range. If you want to trick out your gun to look like a sniper or it makes you feel good thats fine more power to you but don't bash all cocker owners because they think thier way is better just understand that it is a differnt game for them.

I get so pissed off at how some cocker owners are bashin snipers, when their company makes a gun called Sniper. I hate how all these hypocrites turn the sport into some big political issue.
By the way, I'm kinda suprised that they didn't close this right off the bat. oh well... It's our gain.

Im with the kocker guy its mostly newbies that want to be snipers because they think killing is "cool" and they're big time military wanna-bes. I see two types of paintball players, the normals and the militairy wanna-bes. Also its only the newbies that drool over those guns that look like M16s and stuff.

Just cocker owners are hypocrites? I bought this marker because I liked the way it performed, not because of the name of the company, or their products. I did not buy this marker because I want to snipe people in paintball. I bought it to lay down a large amount of suppressive fire in speed ball games. Many times I don't even shoot at people. It's my job just to let them know if they make a mistake I'm there. That is not the definition of a sniper in either dictionary or in the military sense of the word. Just because someone buys an Angel doesn't mean they have to believe in the afterlife.

Not true. I know several people who have played for more than 5 years that love paintball as a war simulation, and love woodsball, and love camo, and love markers that look like guns. In fact, there are plenty on this forum. Also, the "normals" and "military (which you spelled wrong) wanna-bes" are not good names for the two types, as there is no "normal paintball" and the beginnings of paintball wouldn't even be considered "normal" to you. Let's just stick with speedballers and woodsballers.
Oh, and 'theyre' isn't a word either. (This message has been furnished by the ACAGSMPPF)

Thanks for that but I did state "mostly" because 95% of the ppl I meet like that are newbies, I meant to the second time. And really how I state them isn't really for you to flame its my opinion which I am entitled to. And for future reference military is spelt correctly. Remember think then post.

I wasn't trying to flame you. It's just that whenever somebody says something like that we get this long flame war going for weeks. Also, yes "military" is spelled correctly, but in your first post you put "militairy" which is not "spelt" correctly. :)
Hint, the "Spell Check" button now works again. Everyone should use it before every post. (I usually do, and occasionally I did make a typo). It still can't stop things like 'their' - 'they're' - 'there' or 'two' - 'to' - 'too', but it's a help.

Mr. Shu, have you read the forum rules, the rules for posting? Obviously not. So, now I've got to close this thread. Why? Not because of the "stupid cocker owners," that's for sure. But because of the "Stupid Sniper" who decided to post this thread.
