inthe past 4 or 5 months that ive had my rebel, i have not been to pleased. each time i went somehting went wrong. a leak, rapid firing, sear trouble, striker trouble, etc.etc. i just had to buy a new stiker for like 20 bucks! thats just dumb. i am going to save up for a compact 2000, and sell my rebel. i just wanted to let u guys know. and i wouldnt reccomend a rebel to anyone unless u like to fix ur gun each time u play and replace cheap parts. well bye

yep. rebels werent built to good. they should be priced for a lil less to. but, once i get my rebel going, its good all day, but each and evry time i go out, i have to fix something. but ill keep my rebel for a backup when i get my spyder. peace

I am going to get a TL Plus or a Xtra in a few months. My rebel has been having problems and its not the most reliable gun out there. Its a good Back up but i think spyders are better

Wow!!! When my rebel is working (almost 99% of the time), it is awesome. It is the most accurate of any spyder, tippmann stock, or flatline! It is awesome. Hey punkerx, did you call the tech support number or just order a part from 888? I get free sears and heli-coils (if you want to know what they are, IM me) all the time. I love their tech support and I love my rebel!

i like my rebel a lot, shoot like a dream. it is better then a cocker my friend has. you just have to site down with it, take it apart and be patient with the problem. get on the phone with 32*, find out whats wrong and get it fixed. they will be glad to help.

nonono, my rebel is fine. its just i hate taking it apart evry time igo, and wasting like 3 games just trying to figure out the problem. and i got my parts from 32º, they r pretty helpful, its just the reliability of the rebel that sux. im just gonna use it as a backup. well peace

my rebel is very rely able only thing i had to replace is o rings and the sear but i shoot it over 6000 times b4 that happen and you get a free one did u ever consider it was the user not the gun rebels are very more rely able than syder 2000 i know because i had one and they have a but load of problems if you are going to get a new gun get a tippman or a nu-line gun not a syder. tippmans and nu-line i have had very good experances with them and syders wells syders can burn in hell for all i can say:pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

I'm with chaos killer.... Spyders will have every problem you are having with your rebel but with the added bonus of a crappier tech support. I've had rebel problems and they send me every thing i need FREE (including hassle free:D ) if you think yours is defective, just send it in and they'll fix it (free) or replace it (free again). The only problems after i got it fixed by them is because my dumb *** was using co2 in 38 degree weather, and busting O-rings. I'm keeping mine forever when i get my minimag (if i don't hafta sell my delux to get my mini :( ), because 32* will make it last forever.

PS. If you're thinking of getting another gun i'd suggest a tippmann like chaos killer.... I've never seen one just flat out break down (with proper mantinence).

bah!! im just gonna keep my rebel. im gonna start saving up for one of those black dragons though. once i get that i wont need to worry about my rebel ne more. well, im pretty happy i didnt make the mistake of buying a compact 2000, or a tippy b4 i got to thinking about..... why not just put in another 100 bux and get a bettr gun. so, thats wut im gonna do. peace alls

im on both sides. my rebel works great!! when it works. i think getting the TL would just give me a more variety of problems lol. not really though, im just sick of dealing with the same problems. but i dont want people getting me wrong, i like the rebels, i really do. i just wish i could outshoot cockers!! we'll see what happens when i put a few more bucks in.

02-26-2002, 06:38 PM
hey thats cool, but i doubt that will outshoot cockers (whell, maby). i'd suggest u doing what punkerx1 and i are doing...save up a little and get a better gun thats a little out of the low end range.:)

What made me mad about my rebel was that i had it for about 1 month and it breaks down once i get to the field.

I like my rebel a lot and i will keep it but once i begin getting into like tornoment level its going to have to become my back-up. i'll get a TL plus after like 2 years of using my rebel. IT'll have x-chamber, make an electric trigger, revy no doubt, and all sorts of other stuff.

rebeljay
02-27-2002, 10:01 AM
yea i plan on trying a new barrel (a pretty decent one) and a new bolt. if things work out, then ill just keep my rebel. if not, i'm gonna most likey buy a TL plus or something. that way i already have a spyder barrel. but i dont think i will get rid of my rebel. its a nice gun. easy to take apart and looks great. i just wish i didnt have as many problems as i do. oh well. :|

Dark Cloud
02-27-2002, 12:10 PM
Isnt that a little on the heavy side? I dont really want a Stianless steel barrel.

i like tictacs
02-27-2002, 01:34 PM
its not heavy at all, in fact it balances out ur gun real nice. get the 10 or 12 inch one.

02-27-2002, 02:35 PM

IF u get the flat line hope u know how to take it off really fast. If paint breaks in the flatline u are screwed.

Why the hell are all you guys complaining, the Rebel is the best! Don't get a Tippman, I used to have one! They suck! They can't field strip, and the don't come with any features except for a sight rail. Reliability, HAH! I'd rather have a good gun that hardly ever works than a ****ty one that always does! As for accuracy, Flatlines don't have accuracy, they have range. And if people are making fun of you, can't you take it? You're such a *****, why the hell do you even play paintball? Spyders are way worse, why would you go buy a worse gun? I lkeave you with this... TIPPMANS SUCK! I laugh in the face of ****ty TIPPMANS!!!
You guys piss me off! :pissed:

Tippmans are better than any rebels, and anyone who says otherwise is a stupid newbie who sucks at paintball. So stop badmouthing Tippmans, just because you love your Brass Eagle guns you dont need to share with the rest of us. Capisce?

Dark Cloud
03-01-2002, 02:00 PM
I've fired off Tippmans. They are okay, they should fire faster and could be a little more accurate. Trust me the stock barrel is terrible. Rebels supprisingly have pretty good stock barrels. m98s are kind've a newbie gun. you cant upgrade much and if u do you are going to get a funky looking gun. (Image is everything!)

I am keeping my rebel. Its going to be fine. Just have to oil, clean, care, and love it :)

IrishLegacy
03-01-2002, 03:39 PM
Yeah, the stock barrel sucks, but if you upgrade even a little it improves accuracy trmendously, then all you need is an x chamber and a double trigger and youre all set. Maybe a revvy, but i dont see the need for it til you get a full auto

Lorquas
03-01-2002, 04:02 PM
all the low end guns (spyders, tippys, etc..) shoot about the same in my opinion. some are smoother, some are slightly more accurate etc.. alot of the difference are addons (that can only go so far for these markers) and player experience. Go for what makes you comfortable. If you want a better marker to make you feel better and shoot with cockers... GET A COCKER, OR MAG OR SOMETHING IN THAT RANGE.... or if your broke like me:D get some skill. "i like tactacs" says his rebel can keep up with cockers, and probably can (he upgrades it like a mother ******), but a lot of that has to do with his SKILL AS A PLAYER. so stop *****in' start playin'.

PS. after writing that in rage and reading over it again, a lot of it didn't come out exactly like i thought it, and it has a few holes and arguable parts. I'm probably going to get hassled for it, but just remember that its my $0.02 and i'm always willing to learn:cool:

hey, im not bad talkin the Rebel at all, i said that ive never had a thing go wrong with it. Its just not the gun for me. BTW its a M98c, c = custom, meaning upgradability. And theres no reason to get all upset about me switchin to a tippy, ill still be usin my rebel as a backup. Grow up and learn to control ure temper.

if you got a tippy or anything because it feels better for u, thats cool, but i'm just tired of getting into arguments and correcting others on the feild because people are stupid and put down the rebel.

Just upgrade your rebels and stuff play in a few big games and with like Cash or other guns okay? You'll get your Spyder or Pirahna or maybe even Autococker if u work hard and shoot fast

i've had issues with my rebel, but nothing 32 didnt make right, now even at the pro shop if anybody ahs issues with rebels they call me to ask what it hink it is because i am kinda like the rebel guru downhere, and as far as speed,i can honestly say i can keep up shot for shot with any cocker ya put in front of me and for a short peroid any angel,i have done it time and time again,i can EASILY without fanning outshot a 12v revvy like it wasnt even on the gun, takes about 15 shots but i do it(and in drop testing the revvy fed at a average rate of 11bps),the gun DOES have serious issues witht he hammer/sear,but when ym cousin just got his new hammer and sear my sear i keep for extra wouldnt work, then i looked and it is cut a little different then the old one i had for back up,so maybe they did straighten them out,and everytime you play check the back grip frame screw,it does shake loose(well mine does mroe then average because of the shooting speed i use),and onto barrels,IMO best barrels under 50 are the CP one pice(great awesome barrels)Lapco(arguably the most accurate barrel ever made)and ACI one piece(light wieght and i love mine, will never use anything else)

Well, I thought I would post this message here because I noticed that you guys were comparing the Rebel's to Spyder's. Which should I get ? The Spyder Java 2 in 1 or the Rebel Bottomline.. I noticed that there is quite a bit of difference in price, or atleast for me there is :) .. So which is better.. I want something very dependable and something I DON"T have to upgrade as soon as I get it.. I would also like it to be very enjoyable to take apart and clean after a great day of playing.. I have heard a lot of good things about both guns.. Very uncertain on which marker to get and I need some opion..

Color- What ever marker you reccomend, please include a color of marker you would suggest if you were purchasing the marker..

Let me know what you think...

Well, I'm selling off my Rebel LE for 100 and getting a JT excellerator 4.0. I really like my LE when it works. and it's a very easy gun to take apart and clean. Just that the damn bolt keeps wearing down my ball detent(damn pink piece of sh*t doesn't do a thing) and I get breaks a lot. I just used about 1/4 oz of gun oil on all the moving parts and next time it's warm I'm gonna see if that will improve it any.
and to PaintballSniper, the spyder is a quick fix, but will not get you very far in the end. I find that the lower end rebels are more reliable than the 'higher end' ones. just take good care of your parts in it and maybe even call 32* ahead of time and ask for some new ones, just to be safe. whichever one you get, it'll need lots of love to be as good a gun as people make it out to be. and IMO the rebels are easier to clean, even though they are the same basic design.
