Can you use JT speed pods effectively without the collar?

nope it doesn't work with out the collor...i bought the system and i hate it...the idea is great...but they have a lot of problems. When you carry the pods around and you get hit in the pack...like on the end of the tube or something it breaks and goes in the tube and it messes your paint up...even splatter gets in there. just buy pods and a regular vl 12V and you are way better than with the speed pods.

If anyone wants to buy four clear pods, 4+1 carrier, and a speedcoller with or with out a 12V hopper let me know.

Well, i would buy it even if there is a risk of messing your paint, coz u gotta be fookin unlucky to get hit there. Im interested im buying that system but i dont like the collar thing. Isnt there any way you can use the speed pods without it? Well, there must be one since you have to refill the tube....

I admit, you get hit in a pod and it ain't purty ... but, the system works great as a whole and makes reloading on the field in a paintfight very easy ... and fast. I'd say go get the whole thing; pods, harness and collar.

I have the system minus the speed collar and I like it just fine. The tubes are sucky and crack too easily. Still faster, to me, than anything else.

I think JT could improve the setup by offering a harness that holds six pods, or four pods and a tank, and by making the pods larger. I've got four 100 round pods, which is great for a front or mid player, but I like the back, I need more paint when I get on the field. I'd like a JT harness that holds five or six pods, and pods that hold 140 or 150 rounds. I think they could also do some work on the pod flanges, those four pieces that open up, so that they don't allow paint inside the pod.

I think jt is the best company in paintball but really it dosent look like the collor would be any harm if it wasent on. but i really dont know it just looks like it would still work!

you don't have to be that unlucky to get hit there...the harness i use puts the pods facing the way you face, so when you lean out from a bunker 2 are sticking out sayint HIT ME!!! i have been hit in a pod 3/4 days i played with them...then i stoped using them. if someone wants to buy it i would prefer to sell the whole system with a 12 V but will sell separitly if wanted.

it depends on what you want...let me know what parts you want...i will sell the whole thing with a 12V for 115 obo...thats four clear speed tubes, a speed collar with GOT, a 12V hopper, and a 32 degrees 4+1 harness...it cost me 140 or so new, but only used it 4 times...everything is in new condition except the pack has a little mud on it, but that can be washed off. let me know if you want it.

I stagger the pods, two facing left, two facing right ... left, right, left, right ... hopefully I won't get attacked on both sides at the same time.

the revy is black...it has holes for the speed collar already drilled...i can sell it to my friend for 40 in town here...so between 40 and 50 without shipping probably...it has only been use a few times though.
