this is my first excellent quality marker that i've ever received. the only problem is that the package only came with the gun and barrel and no owners manuel, kinda though it would give me some insight on what to buy in regards to an air system. to be honest i have no idea what to buy for this marker when it comes to air systems, i've always been use to Co2 systems that you just screw on in. can anyone help point me in the right direction on what i need to know about buying for this gun???

I don't believe so. All you need is just a compressed air tank. I'm not sure however if your gun comes with an ASA or a macroline (the thing on the bottom of the grip frame, and the hose that runs from it to the front grip). If it doesn't you'll need those. Other than that I would recommend getting a carbon fiber tank. They are really light and better than those heavy steel tanks. Anyways if this doesn't help wait a little bit longer so people can give you suggestions and help you more.
Oh yeah welcome to pbreview, I see your new here. Trust me you will love this place and the people here are cool and very helpful.

yep, you will need an ASA, macroline, and macroline fittings to hook a tank up to your gun. for ASA's check out the New Designz rail/on off combo, or a CheckIt Unimount, two of the best values IMO.
for tanks, can't go wrong with gorilla air, Crossfire, or Macdev. I use a crossy myself. well priced, extremely fast recharge, etc. the Macdev Legionaire can mount directly to your gun without an ASA and has a built-in on/off, so you don't need an ASA if you get that one. Gorilla air just came out with the Myth, the smallest and lightest paintball HPA tank reg ever made. like I said, can't go wrong with these three. I'd recommend a 4500psi tank, either 45ci or 68ci depending on your size preferences. I like the 68 and don't find it to be too big at all, in fact IMO 45ci feels too small to me although that is preference. you can use either a high pressure or low pressure output tank, ICD recommends low pressure though.

You want a HP xx/4500 Crossfire, where xx is the size of the tank.
Don't argue.
EDIT: MacDev, Centerflag, Smart Parts systems can be substituted where I said "Crossfire".

the tank is a good deal for that price..i also would probly take it to a local proshop/paintball store in your area as far as the ASA/macroline/elbow fitting is concerned..thats what i did with my promaster..i already had a high pressure tank so i didnt need to get a tank..but for the price that air america should be a good choice..
btw..did you purchase this marker new? its strange to me that it didnt come with a manual of some sort..if you could get your hands on a stock promaster manual..that would be good enough to help you with your new purchase.
best of luck and enjoy your marker..

ICD's website, www.icdpaintball.com has a pdf manual for the Promaster (as well as all their other guns) so check that out for all your ICD manual needs.
all that stuff looks good. only thing is I dont think that 90* fitting swivels. having a swivel 90* fitting is worth it I think. check this out, comes with everything you need for macroline and fittings. http://www.888paintball.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/1507969/vpcsid/0/SFV/30842/order/desc/order_by/sell_price
also, the threads of the 90* fittings in that kit come with sealant already on them, so you don't even need to buy teflon tape for them (although I recommend buying teflon tape anyway, never know when you'll need it). the ASA and tank both look good.

1. ASA is good
2. That elbow is a threaded fitting, you want a compression fitting. Something like this is what you want, as you can't get the fittings you need seperately at this place:
Macroline kit (http://www.888paintball.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/1507969/vpcsid/0/SFV/30842/order/desc/order_by/sell_price)
3. That tank you listed will not work with any high pressure guns, I personally would reccomend you get a high pressure tank if you intend to use your HPA tank with any gun other than your Promaster, your Promaster's reg will be able to handle it if you do.

yeah man i would deffinately get a nitro tank...cause its more efficiant and wont freeze your barrel and will allow your paint to be more accurate

umm...when running an electropneumatic gun off CO2, I would think freezing your barrel would be the least of your worries :dodgy:
but you're definately right, an HPA tank is a worthwhile investment.
