i had a pilot acs and i ran a gravity feed hopper and it was fine. take the bolt out and lube it again and check everything inside.it also might be ur paint.

don't lube a delrin bolt excessively. it's probably the paint.
with a gravity feed, you shouldn't be shooting long strings....

Gravity feed hoppers feed at a max of 8, if the balls don't get stuck. I'm going to guess you also have co2, which causes chops too.

No gravity hoppers feed at a rate of 13.3 BPS. Its the gravity ones that get jammed up because they don't have an agitator. If gravity hoppers wouldn't jam then we wouldn't need Revvy's or Reloader 2's anymore. But the ACS bolt needs to be broken in. Take it out and compress it about 1,000 times. (no I'm not joking) Also the hopper is a problem. Upgrade to something like a Eggy III which feeds a claimed 23 BPS. Should be fast enough for any marker you upgrade to.

I wouldn't compress your bolt a thousand times...I'm pretty sure that might just wear out the spring. From what I've heard, 10-20 compressions is enough to break in an ACS bolt.

any eggy will never actually feed past 16 or 17, and even thats pushing it. all gravity fed loaders (eggies, revvys, shake n bake etc.) are capped by, well, gravity. the paddles help them feed faster but its still gravity doing the work. you dont get past that 16 or 17 (and still thats pushing it for a gravity fed loader) until you start using the force fed loaders which have a constant pressure on the ballstack and literally force the ball down (halo/reloader b's, vlocities, pulses). that being said at this very moment you dont need a force fed loader (theyre $$$), a revvy will do the job. however if you have the money for a halo or vlocity go for it, as you wont need to upgrade your hopper with your gun.

O ya dude that is obviously the probelm! If you have a gravity feed hopper whats happening is you hopper cant keep up with the gun and the gun will not wait for the opper and its fireing when the balls get half way put of the hopper, you gun is fine just go out and buy and electric hopper and you will be able to shoot as fast as you want.

Like I said, claimed 23 BPS feedrate. I'm not backing it up I'm just telling him what Vl says.

i have heard about acs bolts doing nothing but chopping, anybody have an idea why?

I don't see why an ACS bolt would do any more chopping than a normal bolt, but if it isn't working as advertised it might need to be broken in.

Yeah once its broken in it works pretty well.

DO NOT LISTEN TO ALL THE PEOPLE SAYING TO LUBE YOUR BOLT TO HELP IT REDUCE CHOPPING! YOU CAN NOT GET ANY LIQUID ON THE BOLT BECAUSE IT IS DELRIN!!!!!! LIQUID WILL WRECK IT!!!!!!
