Hello! My name is CColtManM.

I have been paint balling for a few years now, but I can count on two hands how many times I've gone.

This Christmas my girlfriend gave me a Tippmann A-5 Stealth marker as a gift. I'm really excited to try it out Thursday at Challenge Park. Tomorrow I'm going to my buddies house, whom I paintball with, and we are going to toy around with it.

The gun looks great. Any advice on it, otherwise, glad to be a part of the forums!

If I'm correct it has a flatline barrel on it? If so make sure you use quality paint. Its not a thing to skimp on, especially with a flatline. Also make sure that you are chroned in at as close to 275 as you can manage (while still being legal). The flatline performs best at that fps. Other then that enjoy the time, thats some girlfriend!

Hi

I don't know were you live. But in cold wheather the flatline will break paint alot.

The barrel works fine in warm wheather. But in cold wheather it will _iss you off.

If this happens its not the marker. Its the flatline. We use a differant barrel in the winter.

Hope everything works fine. Have fun.

Thanks guys. I live in Chicago, and was just out today in this 25 degree day. Out on the field i bummed some "better" paint off a buddy of mine, but his was the one that ended up clogging both are guns.

I bought mine for about 15 dollars less them him, but still mid grade, and didn't have one break inside the gun. Maybe that was because they were brand new too.

No
The barrel is sandblasted inside. Brittle shells due to cold seem to sand a whole thru them when the barrel trys to spin them. I fine a rubbery shell works better in cold wheather.

Well, it's an adjustable stock, which is great, so yeah, of course it has a bit of a wiggle.

Always wear your mask, even if you're just shooting in the backyard. A member here (mgitlin) nearly lost an eye due to his gun misfiring. Be safe and have fun!

Yea, forgot to ask about the temperature.. Buy either polar Ice or origin paint for below 45 degrees..
