get a higher end hopper. that way if u ever get ridda ur tippmann, u wont have to buy a hopper that will keep up with your new marker.

Unless you know you are going to stick with your 98 for years, a used halo b would be a better investment than a cyclone.

depends also on do you play woods ball or speed are you getting a new gun in the future how much money do you have. if your goin to play woods ball i would go with a cyclone if you decide against a cyclone and dont want a new gun id get a ricochet ak if you are goin to get a new gun i would get a higher end hopper like a halo

I'd get the Halo B for about $85

They both have resale value.

I always ask myself the questions:

What does it cost?
How hard is to maintain?
How easy is it to break it?
Will I outgrow it?

I have seen decent electric hoppers go for 50 - 95 dollars on ebay.
I have seen cyclones go for around 60 on ebay.

Cyclones do not require batteries, but it will be more work to initially install.

Under 17 bps cyclones will hold up well, going over that will stress the mechanics and will eventually cause stripping . A trinity vortex mod will fix that if think you will be going higher(you likely won't).

I can't say what you will go with in the future nor do I know your style of play so I can't offer any real advice there.

Personally, I like the cyclone. I don't generally need to fire at a higher rate than 15 bps. I also hate having to not only depend on the state of my markers batteries but also of my hoppers. I don't think I would feel comfortable playing in wet conditions with an electric hopper. (I carry a standard grip frame to replace the egrip when its wet, or when I anticipate I might get wet :) )

So I would say go cyclone (or just trade it all in for an A-5), but I am sure that ultimately you would happy with either.

A HAlo B hopper is a very good hopper, besides that a cyclone wouldn't hurt anything.

It would be faster than a halo then.. someone needs to get a vid of a cyclone feed like that and see how fast it feeds :)
