If you know someone who has one try it out. I have a barrel kit and now I use a cheap CMI thunder pig. It has straight rifling and seems to work well with all paint. The thunder pig is about 26 bucks.

Rifling has no advantage over smooth bore barrels in paintball.
I'd recommend spending the extra couple bucks and getting either a JJ ceramic or a CP 1 piece. Excellent barrels that and can be found usually for under $40.

just cuz the name sniper is on a barrel doesnt mean it will shoot with any less accuracy then another barrel

The CMOI Thunder Pig works well. I have one. I'm also told that the
Smart Parts. Linear and Progressive are good barrels too.
I'm just trying to suggest a cheaper all round barrel that seem to work well with most paints.
I'm not sold on any one brand. Just models that seem to work well.
My thunder pig seems to work as well as my barrel kit. And it cost alot less.

I had a thunder pig years ago, was my first barrel upgrade, i found it gave me pretty good range and accuracy but it was stolen b4 I coudl ever compare it to any other aftermarket barrels..
