I know I should read the stickies and all...but I need quick answers. Ok, so this guy put quite a bit of money into his Promaster. He put a Shocktech No-Rise Feedneck, Hybrid Contract Killer Grips, Kila Magnetic Detents, CP Razor drop (why, oh why?) CP On/Off, CP Reg, and a Taso Winforce. First, he had to replace one of the LP hoses, then, once he replaced that, the LPR started to leak, then he scratched the crap out of the housing. He was so pissed at the poor thing that he was about to just chuck it on the ground, but I grabbed it out of his hands. He said I could have it if I fixed it. So basically, what I need is a new LPR housing, LPR Internals, etc. I will gas it up today and make another post telling you what happens.

sweet. that'll be the cheapest promaster you'll ever get. I wonder if he knows that if the LPR is leaking all he probably has to do is replace a $0.12 o-ring or seal to fix it.

but hey, if I was in your position I'd take the gun too! his fault for offering it... :devil2:

That was a real helpful post :) :dodgy: I just handed it over to the Proshop. They will get my reg working, and I called ICD for the parts I was missing. Proshop charges $40 for the first hour of work, with the $40 minimum, including small parts. $40 for $500 or so worth of gun aint bad..its like new minus the scratches. I forgot his skull pullpin mod..used a Kragen tire nipple cover as a pull pin cover..fits perfectly.

sorry, I didnt see a question in your post so I figured you'd ask tomorrow after gassing it up and seeing exactly what it was doing.

I'd say most likely thing is it needs a new piston o-ring, costs less than a buck at a hardware store. if that doesn't fix it a $15 reg rebuild kit from ICD is just the ticket, which it sounds like you already bought.

what parts are you missing? anyways congrats on your new gun. :)

Well not missing..need replacing. The LPR body, and the LPR adjustment screw were...abused..It looks like he was TRYING to scratch them

I've come across a few guns like that, I hate seeing it. One idiot kid scratched the crap out of his B2K4 reg and inline ASA, among other things, with an adjustable wrench. I didn't want to give the gun back to him after I was done fixing it.

if you're replacing the stock LPR body and internals (which basically amounts to the entire LPR), and are paying a proshop an additional $40 to do it, then for that amount of money you might as well just buy an aftermarket LPR and install it yourself ;)

Internals are likely fine, and there are other things wrong with the gun. I am just curious as to where I can get the body and screw

Ok, hate to up my old thread, but heres the deal. I need a new LPR, I need to rebuild the noid, and do some more things..any tips on this would be appreciated. I am going to pick the gun up this weekend. The Proshop basically charged me $40 to replace the LP hoses and tell me it doesn't work...crooks.

that sucks, I took mine in and asked for new hoses and I would do it myself, they took it in the back and replaced the hoses themselves and just charged me 99 cents for the hose...thats it.

As long as you are replacing it, you may want to look into the LPR/LPC at icdunderground.com.
Can you post pics of the LPR?

Its just the standard, good 'ol under the barrel LPR..I am going to be ordering the replacement on sakworld. I mostly need a solenoid rebuilding guide.

replace the LPR first. Noids can be a fun task when u loose the 2 pins inside.

Why do u want to tinker with the noid again?

why do you think the noid needs to be rebuilt?

Its leaking, and I know its not the hoses. I am an Electrical and Mechanical engineer, so rebuilding the solenoid won't be too bad for me.

airsoldier (http://www.airsoldier.com:8080/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/HEA_HEB_HJC-HJE.pdf)

There's the datasheet link with a cutaway view. unless you have the CRBC model, then airsoldier has the data sheet for that as well.

oh, and don't get another stock LPR, get a palmers Micro Rock.

Ok thanks for the help people! Well, I am actually using my Promaster now to convert my cocker to EP. I have a thread about it in WGP.

interesting project! I'd want to see how that turns out.

taking apart the Parker noids used in ICD's older guns (and, conveniently for me, in Tribals as well) was a piece of cake, but those are the only noids I've dissassembled. Hopefully the Humphrey isn't too different.

I've had one occasion when a solenoid was leaking and it was actually the noid's fault. I opened up the noid on one of my tribals and there was a tiny piece of o-ring caught in there blocking an air channel and causing it to leak, the noid itself was fine otherwise, hopefully your prob is something simple like that. problems with the noid itself are rare in my experience but these things do happen sometimes. best of luck with your project!

I have taken apart SMC's numerous times while teching cockers, so hopefully a Humphrey won't kill me.

I do believe if you can handle an SMC, the Hump will be cake.
