Barrels shouldn't have an effect on gas efficiency, however drag and friction do play a part in the length equation.
AA barrels (or so some people claim) do provide a more accurate and quietier performing marker. But I have never heard it being a better gas effective barrel.
Anyone else?

well i was told that the more porting when your gun is runing at low preshure the more it hogs gas (more porting less effishancy) since the excaliber had a barrel witch has like 4 porting holes and it runs low like the impy will the AA kill the gas effishancy? the effishancy was not that bad with my cocker. so i am trying to deside get a freak with a tear drop front or get the AA front

Gas efficiency on an Imp regardless of it's barrel is a dwell / regulator issue. The Imps runs great with Progressive, Teardrops or AA barrels. If money no object get the AA. I love mine!
