I'm looking for a gun between $500-$1000. I'v looked at the Smart Parts Nerve, Timmy and WGP Karnivor. Which would be best for woodsball and speedball?
Thanks,

Timmy, but if you are a "new paintballer", none of those. Learn to take care of a simpler gun first.

Thanks, I've been playing far nearly 3 years, is the Timmy still worth buying. I thought the Timmy would be the best, I just wasn't sure.

Yea, it would probably be the best. 3 years isn't that new, so you should probably put it in the high end electronic marker forums.

Look into Egos also.

I don't think I heard of Egos. Could you tell me more. Also, thanks calaustria for all the help.

No problem, egos (http://www.pbreview.com/products/search/q/?q=ego) are pretty popular as well.

Egos operate similar to Intimidators. I'd get a Karnivor but that's just because I love Autocockers. The Intimidator and Ego are a great choice though. Forget the Nerve BTW. If anything competitve with those guns it'd be the Shocker. Which I would still take a Timmy or Ego or Karni over any day.

I've owned timmy's, cockers, a DM3, and this current Ego, and the ego has been the easiest to take care of by far. For that simple reason, I'd recommend it. All of the markers in that price range will mow.

Timmy's, Ego's, Matrix's, Mini's, and Shocker's are all good markers that are in that price range. That's not a complete list by any means, I'm using a low-end Spyder and haven't fully researched the upper-end of the marker spectrum.

Look into the '06 or '07 ego, the '07 cyborg, alien remains, timmys, mark 6 or maybe wait for the alien independence if you like poppits. Then if you like spoolies i'd say quest, fs-8, pm7, or dm7. There's also the infinity legend if you like FASOR's. Yeah there's a lot to chose from but the best way to chose a gun is try them out and see which one feels best you.

As long as you can maintain and clean your marker, the Timmy is an awesome choice. You should jump on it.

Personally if I were you I would spend a little less money and buy either a little bit older (04-05) angel or look into an upped viking. If neither of those suit you I would also look at a Cybourg. All three are great guns and will perform at the top of their class.

Well, Brandon I've gotta say all of these choices are good, but I'd get something a little less expensive, I know your more experienced and know more than me but I'd get like a Ion or something from Smart PArts like you said a NErve, even though that's kinda expensive.

for a first electro, i wouldn't go quite so extravagant. have you considered the other costs? for example, do you already have a compressed air tank? what about a fast loader? a better barrel? if you've already bought some of those, then go for it (other than the barrel, because of the threads you'll probably need a new one anyway). if you havent' gotten all of those things, you have to factor in those costs- $70-150 for a loader, $60-300 for a tank, and anywhere from $30-200 for a barrel/barrel kit. you can easily double the money you're putting down when you factor in those things!
that being said, there are some great markers in the range you're talking about. also consider the ion, as one other person has noted. the piranha evo is a good mid-range marker (it's what i use so i'm a little biased), plus there is always a chance you will find a good deal on an angel or a matrix if you go to a field and check out their used markers. always ask the history on a used marker though- you don't want mommy and daddy's mistake. if it's been owned by an experienced player, especially someone who used it for a tournament team, you can expect that it's been taken care of. then again, if there was a lot of tech problems with the gun, it's probably not wise to invest in it.
good luck, and i hope you find the right marker! just remember, expensive doesn't mean better, it just means more expensive!
EDIT: before i get yelled at, let me clarify: "mommy and daddy's mistake" refers to the purchase of a thousand dollar marker for a 10 year old who has never played before and has absolutely no concept of how to take care of a marker, therefore the marker, for example a "brand spanking new" DM6, is being sold for $300 or so because it's been beaten, stepped on, abused, mistreated, and otherwise destroyed.
