Hi. I just got my black x-milled b2k and it costed around $450. What I am wondering is - should I put a lot of money into it upgrading it or should i just sell it and buy an eclipse or sonic bushy? I am asking this because I know its not the same, but when a spyder is tricked out they bring little resale. That may be true for only spyders, but I would think that a ratpulse would bring more money than a tricked impulse with the same amount of money invested into each. Do you guys think it's worth it or should i just get a more expensive gun??? THX :)

Can't you fix it yourself?

I just see that a lot of ppl make a simple mistake that every bushy owner makes, and then they automatically wanna send it to goldie. I mean, if you have your bushy for like a year and you wanna get it retuned on the offseason, thats cool. But if you juste got it, and you broke your harness or something, why dont you just pick up a new one from a hardware store or even ICD for free instead of sending your whole gun.. Doesn't shipping get expensive and on your nerves?

I mean, i hate to see you lose 20$ on shipping if you can just resolder it your get a new harness yourself

Just FYI

lol - I wish I could fix it myself, but I just got it and I dont want to mess with it anymore. I TRIED to fix it, but then I kept scratching and nicking the frame and reg with the wrenchs, messing up other stuff like the led in the process, and getting really frustrated. I'd rather send it off now and learn to fix it after I'm comfortable with it. Heck, I paid $450 for it (may not seem like a lot to some people), and I'm afraid to let anyone else hold it! Well, not really, but If I try to fix it more, it may end up costing me more than just shippiing, ya know??? Oh well.
This is so minor, i know, but to tell you the truth it actually had me considering another gun. I dont know if I should just get a ripper frame because of the scratches/nicks on the frame, because it has a blade trigger on it. I was just thinking about getting an angel or higher end gun because (and I know any gun can break, but its easier to mess up a cocker than an angel) i dont want this to happen again.
Oh I know that if I hadnt messed with it, it wouldnt have broken, but I dont know how to solder wires and dont wanna screw it up anymore.
Im getting it fixed, but my question is - SHOULD I HAVE GOLDIE INSTALL A RIPPER FRAME AND HAVE IT VAPORIZED AND CONTINUE TO UPGRADE, OR SELL IT AND GET A SONIC OR ANGEL??? THX guys :|

well the main reason id send it to goldie or lumpy is simple, they'll
fix stuff icd wont and under warrenty, and theyll do it right, alot of people are not comfortable messing with their electronics and risking a voided warrenty

also there customer service is top notch, icd's blows!

poil thats a question you have to answer yourself, why are you in such a hurry to upgrade?,what features do you want in a marker
another grand isnt going to make you a better player,if there are specific things about it you dont like that a upgrade will fix, will it make you confident and happy with your marker

you must like somthing about it to have bought it in the first place?

and just curiousw why were you messing with it to start with, what was origionally broken?

I'd just put a new barrel and new reg, and then a new frame, sonics aren't worth it.

i agree. upgrade what you need, that's all you really need. if you're making so much money you can't spend it on paint and admission, then go for luxuries. but always make sure you have enough to play before you go upgrade something else

Well first off you can't just get a wiring harness at the hardware store.

Second, if you buy a new one ($25) who's to say that you can install it yourself. A lot of people do more damage by trying to repair it themselves than letting a qualified individual fix it. If you do make it worse, it won't be covered by warranty and you'll definitely have to pay for a new harness.

Third, I pride myself on having what I'd call pretty good turnaround time. So most of the time you're only without your marker for a couple of weeks.
