I know that Revvy hoppers stur the balls around to make sure they feed but the question I have is if they are still gravity fed how come they wont chop? The way I see it if they jam up they wont feed and they wont chop anyway.

So do they just make sure they keep feeding or do they somehow make the balls feed faster? This is just a little confusing to me...

The idea is that the agitation keeps a stack of balls ready to be fed into the gun at all times. Thus, the gun can feed balls as fast as gravity allows. With a regular hopper, the feed can be blocked (even for a moment), which causes balls to feed slower and that sometimes results in a chop.

Revvies won't jam unless you overfill them, so that's not an issue.

Pretty much what he said. if the balls get jammed for a second, then they slow down there feeding. And if the feeding slows down, it may feed to slow or fall into the breach at the wron time and not totally feed into the breach therefore causing a chop.
