I'm very very very...did I say very...very happy with my Fusion. It's simple to maintain, shoots straight and fast for a more than reasonable price. It's also backed up by one of the best customer service in the industry, I haven't shot a promaster so I couldn't tell you which one is better. But my Fusion has just been a blast to play with. As for upgrades, they got some coming out:
1.) Hybrid Traitor Fusion
2.) Color Kit
3.) Grips
4.) Lower-profiled Feedneck
5.) T-board from Scenario Dreams (able to take in any chip out there)
6.) DP's in talks with Virtue right now.
So the Fusion doesn't REQUIRE any upgrades, but some of the upgrades coming out would sure make my Fusion look sexy.

My Fusion is awesome, its so easy to maintain. Its so simple, and yet a great marker. The only problem that I had with it was that I put in the detents wrong, so I was double feeding and chopping like mad, but when the detents were put in correctly it shot beautifully again. I would highly recommend one, however in your case I really wouldn't get one. A step up from an upped Promaster to a Fusion really isn't a big one, so I'd really suggest just keeping the Promaster.

Besides even if you were to sell the Promaster and get the Fusion, you would be losing so much money with the retail on Promasters nowadays. I still stand with what I say, and stick with the Promaster.
