Just got this gun and being a newbie I pulled a bonehead move. I read a few places to tighten all screws before using, since sometimes they leave the factory a little loose. Well you guessed it, I tightened the reg. screw all the way in then realized a short time later after looking at the enclosed parts list what I had done. (HEY JT,HOW ABOUT A MANUAL FOR US NEWBIES!). Anyways, my question is: if this screw is totally removed does the ball and spring fall out? I removed the screw all the way out and it seems that everything is pushed all the way in and I can't get it out. There is no tension on the screw and I notice the pressure on the gauge has dropped alot now. Any help would be greatly appreciated......

p.s.-This is my first gun, just got it,haven't used it with paintyet, and I'm so pissed at myself!! I still love this gun though.........

I can unscrew it but there's no tension and if I totally remove it the gold ball is stuck all the way in. I assume the spring is under that. Man I really did it this time!!

stick a small pin into the air adapter hole and see if you can wedge the spring out.. make sure you take the screw out first to remove any extra pressure. if you look in that air adapter hole you should be able to see the spring and/or brass regulator pin..

JT inform me that there is a copper disk in there that is use to control the flow. I think you might have damage the disk. Call Jt see what they can do.
