hmmm which gun are you using? If it is a custom pro, you may not, their barrels are actually nice.....
Also, check the bore size and the size of the pballs your using.....and maybe if ur using co2 or anything of the such.......

no its not pro. just 98 custom. and ya im using c02. its pretty cold out too. would that effect range/accuracy? like 20's cold.

Ya, that kind of cold would affect the rang and accuracy considering it makes your gas less consistant if you running CO2(wich isn't really consistent anyway). One shot your pressure may be high, and the next it could be really low thus making your shots go different places. Or it could be your paint( wich the cold also affects).

yepper, that is what is affecting it, ALSO, check your barrel for defects....

Well, many people play with CO2 and it works for them.......just not in 20 degree weather. If your in a place that has a cold climite, then ya a HPA system would be a good envestment. HPA is a good investment for anyone but is a necessity to those who may live way north.

why spend 150 on N2 when you can buy a nice reg for 75 that will solve the same problem.
if accuracy is your problem. adjust your velocity while you are testing it. also a good bore and paint match is important

any regs that you'd recomend fora 98 custom?
i think someone told me a reg is a waste when using c02

Most likely your issue is bad paint to barrel match. Try to find a paint of the appropriate bore size for good accuracy. HPA improves consistency, but you still won't be satisfied with accuracy if the paint is too small or large.

i dont get paint to barrel match. all thepaint boxes i've sen say .689. should i actually take some dial calipers and measure the inside diameter of my barrel to a thousanth of an inch and measure different paintballs to find the closest size?

i live in canada and use co2 in -10 degrees and will be using it this weekend in -20 degrees, I love it and wont change to hpa, people exagerate the diffrences too much ive used both and I will stick to my co2. main downfall in winter is you cant shoot full auto (but I prefer to use a mechanical marker over electronic and use my skill to win anyways) so I get less shots... but a hpa tank gets less shots then a co2 tank of the same size anyways so when winter is gone that advantage is gone.

To be honest I have almost stopped playing entirely in the really really cold here in new england. It just hurts so gosh darn much when you get hit in a really really cold upper thigh.
Sorry for all the "really really"s. I am englishly defficient today.:D

just adjust your velocity to the barrel alot of times people wont take time to do that and if you do you'll be fine

yea, velocity, paint match, and air consistency are the main factors for a J&J...if you figure it out, its a dominant barrel
