If you subscribe to Facefull, they came free with the last issue of Facefull (the issue with RL on the front cover).

Yep, that's the one I just got. I don't subscribe, but I buy mags from the local book store occasionally. I sure hope it picks up, I would love a woodsball-specific magazine!

This is news to me--good news too. I'll have to check it out. I only hope they have good grammatical editors unlike the regular FACEFULL.

I believe that FACEFULL is actually written in France, so not a great surprise that the English isn't 100%. If anything, it's something of a surprise that it is as good as it is. Could be a lot worse.

Yeah, it is a French magazine. Also, all paintball magazines have grammatical errors. Maybe it they had better editors, but then they would have to pay more, etc.

I got the first issue a while back, and it's not bad for the inaugural issue. It's about time woodsball gets its due.

I love woodsball and I still think it's the backbone of the sport. However, reading about woodsball games just doesn't seem as interesting to me. I do like the pictures when you see people wearing crazy outfits and stuff.
I hope they do well. It just seems to be harder to sell woodsball oriented paintball magazines.

i play speedball when i am able to. woods is still fun to me also. after all that is where most of us start. there should be no woods vs speed etc because it is all good.paintball is our game and we all should support it in all aspects.
my 3 cents :D

yay, faceful brings bad editing, bogus reviews, and overpriced glossy toilet paper with interesting pictures on it to a whole new audience. :dodgy:
for how expensive Faceful is, it really should be more absorbant.

I've had it for awhile and to be quite honest i thought it sucked.

Yea I agree. PB2X tends to focus more on Tournament Paintball and speedball. APG has a nice mix of speedball and woodsball. The last issue had more woodsball coverage than it did speedball.
It's not the magazines fault if there aren't as many woodsball advertisements though, that would be the lack of companies who want to pay for it.
However, it would be cool to see an in depth review of like the ten best woodsballs markers. Something like that would be cool to read.

I bought a few APG magazines, but finally got sick of articles like "If it Don't Break, it Don't Count!". I mean, really, I don't need to read three pages to know that only breaks count.
PB2X was kind of boring to me since I'm not big on the tournament scene, and Splat sucked, period.
To be honest, Facefull is one of the more interesting and informative magazines, and it's well worth the extra cost to me.
The many spelling mistakes can get annoying, though.

True, and APG does write about woodsball games, but they also write about tournament stuff. I'd like to see a woodsball magazine that can succeed on just woodsball info. It's very possible, they just have to do it right.
