I was just looking through the tippmann picture thread and I someone had Dye boomstick on their gun. I was just wondering how you get one on it, beacause I know for a fact those barrel threads are different. so yea some one tell how to get one on a tippmann.

Thread adapter.

I had a boom stick with a cocker to 98 thread adapter on my m98 for a while.

The boomstick is a two piece barrel kit, it comes with a back with the threads of a certain gun, and then the second part of the barrel will screw into the back nomatter what thread type it is.

To my knowalge thats how it works with all barrels, except for the a-5 witch doesnt have threads.

So if I take off the the black part on a boomstick it will fit my custom?

If it has tippman 98 threads, then yes.

They most likely make threads for the back for 98's now, they should be popular enough..

I cant find the particular barrel, but I know dye makes Ultralite backs for 98s, so I don’t see why they would not make Boomstick backs for them as well.

I'm actually not positive if all tips fit all backs, but I doubt it. And yes the A-5 has threads, its called A-5 threads. To get a Boomstick to fit a Tippmann, get the right threads. If the back doesn't have the available threads, get an adaptor.

they come in 98 threadings if they are rare perhaps becaus enot many tippmann owners use them but they are out there, I am able to custom order them for my store which means they definatly exist :P

I will note however the price with 98 threads is much higher then any other threading, which means they probubly dont make very many of them...
