does the shocker have more range than the impulse, i know that range is mostly paint/barrel fit and velocity, but which of these 2 guns has the better range?

My gun has the most range you knobs, has everyone forgotten the story about my 410 chrony speed.... Nem's right though, with the exception of backspin systems, both guns have the same range if fired at the same speed

oh so close
if a paintball is to large for it's barrel, it will become mutated on it's propulsion down the barrel, thus when it leaves the barrel, it is in a ballon shape, deformed, thus creating drag in an effort to regain shape, so some guns do shoot farther, but if you have all the internal ballitics set the same and all the external ballitsic the same, then the terminal ballistic affect will react with a loud "OUCH THAT SMARTS!", you got im' :)

Wellll i could jam my cocking rod in as im firing and hotshot :)and make my gun shoot a lil further :o i dont know about 410 though :) And i dont want to screw up my rod and hammer anyway- Went through hell trying to get the new rod because paintballgear decided they wouldnt tell me they were out of stock and were not shipping my order until the rod came in... i called today ( a week later) and they told me it had not been shipped because they were out of stock... Dont you think it makes more sense to tell me that when i order!? **** jack ***es
anyway i cancled the order and ordered it form Kickasspaintball.com :o

It's gonna break before it deforms enough to lose accuracy. And yeah, broken balls are none too accurate or long rage :)

The shocker comes with a better barrel,I have not seen to much diffence than my friends shock shooting the same paint. But hes a back player and I am a front.I have been using my mag most of the time till my Balzer gets here then I'll sell the mag.
you can argue that all guns have the same range...but i disaggree, there are people at our fields and we took 5 guns, a sto cocker, a tricked 2000 cocker, a shocker, a bushy, and a automag rt...we chronoed them at 310 and used a full pure energy 4500 psi tank for the test. we got an even bore match for all the paint/barrels. we then fastened the guns to a table in a vice and fired single shots. then we fired rapid shots. with single shots the tricked 2000 cocker had the best range and with rapid fire the shocker had the best range. the other guns were with in 20-70 feet so it didn't make that much of a difference. except one of them was really bad...it was either the bushy or the mag i forget what one. all guns were stock except barrels and the 2000 cocker. i'm not saying that all guns don't fire the same distance...i'm just telling you what happened at our test.
Forget it, all the guns have the same range, except the back spin systems!!
It's hard to control the barrel match paint without special tools to mesuring. I only trust on the Freak System, CP Barrels, Lapco (the best) and Equation barrels. All the others have to many variations on his bores sizes, so not trusty!!!!!
It's hard to control the pressure system, unless you use the same regs in all markers.
You have to have a system that make sure the right position of all the markers (at the same angle)
And of course use the same paint at least 100 paintballs per test.
Don't forget the wind!
