ok i ran into several people that didn't know how to adequately dissassemble their impulse. So here is how i do It :

Tools needed:
3/16 aleen wrench
1/8 allen wrench
Lube
screwdriver( take out vision upper board screws)

AFTER DEGASING THE MARKER!!
1. Remove bolt pin from ram.
2. Remove bolt
3. Using the 3/16 wrench, take out the ram assembly.
4. Using the 1/8 wrench, remove the two grip screws holding the frame in place.
5. remove the regulator from he asa.
6. CAREFULLY!! remove the two delrin screws that hold in the upper board( if applicable).
7. Using the 3/16 wrench, remove the front cap/ volumizer.
8. remove the 3/16 screw from the bottom of the body that holds in the valve.
9. Push the valve out of the BACK of the body.
10. Wipe off all of the old lube on the ram assembly, valve assembly, and bolt.

Reassembly:

Reassemble the impulse by putting the valve assembly in the bottom tube after lubing the orings, from the BACK otherwise, you will destroy the o rings. srew the small set screw in to hold the valve in place, until it is flush with the body. Reinstall upper vision board very carefully. DO NOT overtighten the screws less you will break them. After lubing the orings on the ram, reinstall and scrrew back in with the 3/16 wrench. Put the front cap/volumizer on. place the bolt in aligning the hole in the top with the groove in the ram, then put the pull pin in, if you did this right you will hear a small click. :D congatulations, you have disaasembled, cleaned and lubed your marker.

looks good,
but in the reassebly part of your post, you forgot to put the upper vision board back on:P

all thats really needed to seperate the body from the trigger frame, if dealing with a vision gun is to remove the two parts, leave the vision board attached, i have found many people either lose the small plastic screws or they over tighten the screws and break them off

good job with your description though

and for those of you who need pictures, i offer this site http://www.zdspb.com/tech/imp/maintenance.html
