How to start a new team?

Me and some friends of mine think that we've gotten good enough now to start a team (bout 6 months of playing). The only thing is is that our guns are okay, but not tournament material and I was wondering if there was anyone in Southern California( Anaheim Hills specifically, we play at SC Village) who could tell us how to go about getting sponsorship so maybe we could get some better guns? And if you have the time how do we go around getting into tournaments? Thanks.

1st your going to have to start playing in tourny's and have somthing to offer a potential sponsor,like results ,conduct etc.
also a team that has stayed togeather,most teams go for a long time before getting a sponsor

next just find a tourny you want to play and enter it,thats all there is to it

start with a quality 3 man team, then keep on recruiting more players.
to get sponsors just talk to people. tell them what you have to offer and what you will do and what you want. start small, some sponsors will lead to others.
just keep playing and progressing, when you become known at the local fields and tourney scene you will get sponsors pretty easily. but i wouldn't just sit around and wait for diablo to come up to you at a 3 man local tourney and beg you to use custom matricies.

it takes work. and before you talk to your potential sponsor, figure out what they need, if it's a field, then tell them how you can introduce new customers (sc might be a little tough to get sponsored by though).

Thanks for the advice, me and my friends make a 5 man team, so we were planning on practicing for a tourney coming up in May, we figure well try for results then we can go for sponsors.
