Having played with a variety of guns, the more I see of some, the more I like my Tippmann for a variety of reasons.

I looked and did not see any polls on this subject, though there may be some out there, but I thought this would be an interesting chance to see how people would respond.

I know Tippmann owners are very loyal, but this is a chance to see why.

I thought about adding an "all of the above" to the list, but trully that would be how most would answer so it would defeat the purpose of the poll.

Thank you for participating.

I like tippmanns for a few reasons. First off they very reliable, durable, etc.. but also because you can modify them in more ways then any other marker on the market today.

a friend of mine is a paintball field owner..
and cleaned his 98c markers after 3 years of use..
he said its a wonder that they still worked..
with all the mud inside and stuff you could grow your own fruit !

so yeh ! reliable like no other :D
you can swim with your marker, fill it up with paintballs and play till your air is low !

i like how well designed they are and how reliable they are. i have bin borrowing a friends spider gun to lend out to people when we play and that think sucks to take care of. is not re cocking or the inside o-rings are bad. its had more problems then my 10 year old m98. I think the secret is tippmann's valve. it is safe inside the powertube so its hard to get dirt or a curious paintball player in there. one thing that i would like tippmann to do is make there guns low pressure instead of having to buy the adapter.

How About Performance?????

I voted for price, because you can't get too many markers of that price range to preform so reliable.

Looks. When it comes down to it, I like the looks of my A-5. Many of the "upgrades" are really geared towards getting a specific look out of the marker. Like a bipod. Is there any less-functional and useless upgrade than a bipod?

There are lots of better markers performance and consistancy wise.

There are markers that are just as durable and Spyders probably have more ups and versatility(especially when you take spimmy conversions into the equation). Ions are a close second, especially when you take into acount all the diffrent bodies you can get.

This family of markers is getting old. They have seen no big jumps in technology in years, but still are at a premium price. So no bargains here.

Don't get me wrong, I love my tippies. But really I would get better performance and usage out of a shocker. Or even an SP-8 if I wanted to stay milsim.

i like the durability, you could go out get the whole thing covered in paint, mud, and the like, put it in your car, come back like a couple months later gas it up and have it still perform like it did when you put it away

I find it interesting that here in a "Tippmann Forum" the "What do you dislike about Tippmann Products" poll is getting more hits than this one. Perhaps, secretly, many do not like their tippmans as much as they pretend in public. Could it be that deep in their souls they are embarassed to carry a gun painted the color of the Model T Ford?

As for me. I admit it. I own both a Tippman and a Spyder. Frankly, neither one has given reason for me to feel a sense of shame at any level, publicly or privately.

When all is said and done, any gun out there could use updates from time to time. That's the nature of the beast. However, when you consider the longevity of the 98 or the A5, and compare that to other companies who have to change their line up every couple of years, I think that speaks well of the Tippmann philosophy. They have found a formula that works, and with upgrades and minor adjustments yet to come, I can picture these guns being around for a long time to come.

I look at my Tippmann like my Double barrel shotgun.
Gramp had it. Dad had it. I have it. And my son will get it one Day.
And there are no upgrades for it.

Simply a beautiful gun.

I think the reason there are so many more responses are in the dislike poll is that the tippy hasn't really had a major tech update in years. Other markers are getting lighter and faster. And now they are starting to leak into the Milsim world. Look at the SP8.
Put that all together and you get marker envy.

I've posted this before, but there are a bunch of little things that tippman could do that would be super. Like moving the grip up on the body so that the hopper weight is directly over your hand like the ego and other newer markers. There is a precedant in the actual world of SMGs. Is it the calliope SMG that looks like that with the rear mounted catridge? There are lots in any case that have a body style like that.

pb rocks!

Upgrading does indeed provide one with the potential of having a variety of gun formats all in one package. I wonder if very many people leave their 98 Customs alone, just like it comes out of the box, for very long.

As for me, I hadn't had mine a week before I started buying upgrades (barrel first of course).

Durability, consistency, performance.
Price is a bit tall for a mechanical, but I'm certainly not sorry I bought mine!

Mostly for their durability.

next time you post a poll like this, make an all of the above option. All the things you listed are what Tippmanns are known for.

1,2,4,5 are the options (with 1 being highest) that I like about Tippys. However as far as upgrades, consistency, price, parts, and woodsball the Tippmann is only equal or much worse than the competition with consistency and woodsball being the big losers.

Well for me it's durability, look/feel, and where they're made.

Durability is always a plus for anything.

I like how they feel and the look of a real firearm, I mean who said a paintball gun is suppose to look and feel like a toy gun? I don't mean color, I mean overall look of the gun. Tippmann guns looks solid, durable and a tool ready to be used. I don't care if your Tippmann looks like a M-4 or like a paintball gun, or if it's black or pink. It hes the characteristics of a real gun.

Now this may get me weird looks but, I like Tippmann just because they're a USA company. When you can say I've supported a business in my country with my purchase, it makes yourself feel proud. It help your county economy too. I think that's where Tippmann gets most if not all of it's characteristics.

Anyway that's my two cent.
