I'm thinking of putting together a web site devoted to stores/fields/players in the socal and or san diego area only. I'd design it and host it myself. It would have information on ALL fields in so cal, hopefully stores too. There would also be chat and forums. Players could post pics/recruit/etc. I think pbreview is a GREAT site, I'd just like to see something similar that deals with so cal only. Let me know if that is something that you guys would use, if so I can get it put together right quick!

There's already a website like that. SoCalPaintball.com (http://www.socalpaintball.com/). Unfortunately I find it lacking material. It could use a forum. But I like PBReview better :)

I agree. it is severely lacking. it seems more to be a push for their own store than anything else. the site i am proposing would be designed for PLAYERS. let me know if you all would be interested in a site that caters to so cal playas needs. (note: i love pbreview and am not trying to steal "users" or whatever from them, i just want something more area specific)

thats a good i idea, especially if its for players to meet players in the so cal area. Please make it better than socalpaintball too.

u could make it like a sister site to pbreview. talk to sid. it would be pretty cool just with store and field reviews.

I'm getting the feeling this is something you guys would like. Yes, it would concentrate mainly on field and store reviews, tourneys, teams, and playas meeting up in the so cal area. I think pbreview has the equipment side of things nailed down :). I'm going to go ahead and proceed with it, it will take me a month or two to finish, but I'll let you guys know as soon as it is done.

Thanks for the input, and please keep posting with your suggestions, I want to make this something that will help all you guys out as much as possible.

First of all, I play all over San Diego. I've played at Velocity in Ramona, Mr. Paintball in Escondido, and Camp Pendleton in Oceanside. Hopefully I'll be going to Jungle Island soon, and maybe SC Village in the near future.

Here are some of the features that my site will have:

*Field and store reviews by site admins and users
*Maps of fields and their different courses
*Comparison chart of features/prices/etc for fields and stores
*Forums (of course)
*Chat
*Team building/recruiting
*Team info (tournies played/placed/team members/etc.)
*Equipment trading
*Calendar of ALL tourneys in so cal, who will be there, prizes, etc.
*TONS of paintball resources (links, equipment info, etc.)

I really need all the input I can get, I want this thing to kick ***! My forums won't deal so much with equipment (except for trading) because pbreview is such a great resource already. I'm not tying to "outdo" them, just narrow the focus to so cal ballers baby!
