Barrel Question

I have a friend who runs a machine shop and he makes parts for different firearm companies. I talked to him and we are going make paintball barrels from scratch.

I want like to know what fellow paintball players would like to see in a barrel: lenth, end porting, spiral porting, color, and what ever else you would like on a barrel.

I would appreciate any help you can give me on this. We will probably start with two barrels. One for me and one for some moderator on this group (probably Killer Kat). That way someone besides me can test it out.
