98 Custom Pro and BSA RD30 red dot?

I apologize for my igonorance, but how the hell does this thing attach? I can get the back to attach just fine but the front bolt (bsa) doesn't go through the side wall and hits the Tippmann rail so I cannot secure it with the clamps. Details: The two bolts used to tighten the BSA to the rail are not at the same positon. The front bolt is much lower than the back bolt. This causes the front bolt to hit the rail and blocks me from securing the clamp part.

I'm sure I'm just not seeing the obvious but it's frustrating as hell. Is my scope defective or can someone tell me how to attach this thing? Please.:|

Well seems that you need help I will give you my opinion. I don't have a scope so my advise isn't going to be that great. Here I go, I don't think you have the right mounts. Did you check and see if the mount were the right size???

It looks like the lower bolt is to prevent sliding on recoil. There's no recoil with the 98 so that's why there's no groove for it to fit into. So now I either find an adaper or take it back to WalMart. :|
