where I play there is this one spot, and it is the high ground. Who ever takes it will win. You guys got any methods for charging the high grounds? This place is the best place ever for some one who camps. It has perfect cover and clear shooting lanes. It also only has one path to get to it.
Example:
I was trying to get the guy who was up there so I started to advance (stupid move). I had no support and was left laying in 1 ft. tall grass getting hailed on by paint trying to hide behind a fern. Well the guy up top, killed the fern, and me with it.
You guys got any ideas for taking the high ground? It's the bunker hill of paintball

Depends on how many are in the bunker and how many are attacking the bunker. If it is one on one you're most likely gonna go the way of the fern. If you have a teammate and the guy in the bunker is alone, use your teammate as a distraction or vice versa so the man in the bunker will be only able to shoot at one of you. Then the person not being shot at can try and get an angle on the man in the bunker. Just be sure not to lose your teammate or let yourself be hit or you're gonna lose, most likely. If there are two in the bunker vs two or one of you, you will have to get real LUCKY.

Alright, well your best bet is not to charge at all. Never charge the high ground, that's suicide for those of you who don't know. You must approach slowly and from a point where he's not expecting. Do not use any open avenues, stay close to cover so that if seen you can hop into the brush or cover so that way you can just restart your attempt. Do not continously approach the high ground if it's in the enemy's hands. Make your way their in small increments. Go about 10 feet very slowly so that you do not attract attention (look out for twigs, dry leaves and other stuff that could give you away). After 10 feet or so, stop, and lie low on the ground and just survey the area so that you are sure that you have nothing else to worry about. Try not to get into the open, otherwise their'll be hell to pay. Eventually you'll be within rang and once you are... You MUST make it count otherwise, backup could come around or the guy with the advantage (the guy with the high ground) could etch his name in your visor. My advice is to use the correct kind of camouflage and stay quiet. Just be careful who you come across and don't just run and gun, it'll get you no where in this case. Oh yea, if you can get your hands on a "ghillie" suit, you might wanna think about using one of those for this perdicament.
This happend to me the first day I played paintball and it was agenced Navy Seals, so they knew what they were doing. it was 6 on 6.
We ocupied the hill, wile they had 3 people behind rocks and trees, almost out of range, but to far away to hit bevause they were hiding behind stuff, and the gund arent acureate at that distance. They shot at us onece and a wile, and they changed position quickly alot, so they looked agressive. Meanwile, 3 other people were sneaking around, far out of range. after a couple minutes, the other three people got closer, and were sooting at us alot, but were still far enogh that they were hard to hit, dew to the acuracy of the gun at that distance, so we just shot at them alot, and then someone from the other group suck up behind all of us and said "surrender now" and got us all out.

when taking high ground I like to use the hill against the people on top of it. unless its really gradual you can lay flat on the base of the hill and its arc will conceal you from them seeing you. have a team member or two draw the hill peoples attention and get them shooting. then you can just pop up on them and bam. also when around high ground you have to make really fast movements between bunkers and always have cover. the people on the hill will be able to shoot farther than you because of the whole shooting down a hill with gravity vs. shooting up against thing. if you run around advancing on them bunker to bunker at crack speed, they probably wont hit you. people often dont break out running because it leaves you open. the truth is these guns shoot jello balls with water in them, they dont go too fast. if you sprint between bunkers people on a hill will have to lead into the shot perfectly to hit you and they will have really bad acuracy twoard the end of their shot. work some angles with your partners and keep moving extremly fast, you can turn the atvantage to your side.

Well, this almost sounds like a cant win situation. I sounds like that is the perfect position.
In any case, this is what I would reccommend. If the situtation is, the guy in the high ground has some cover, make sure that you have 1 or two guys giving plenty of cover fire that keeps his head down in his bunker. Once that is done, hopefully you have enough speed to get up that hill and come over the top of his bunker.
Its tough but it could happen.
Also, you could probably get a grenade and toss it up there...

Grenade idea sounds like it would be awesome, as long as the grenade works. I just might have to buy one of those tipman squadbusters.

Screw advancing and sneaking up there arses. Get a flatline and take em all out from a long distance. Easy outs. They're stuck in a bunker and can't dodge the paintballs flying at them. All they can do is watch paintballs fly at them and give em a third eye

Actually I play in the woods were it is thickly forrested (with tons of bushes in between) You couldn't get far away and have a chance of shooting through all the leaves, and branches. Like I said, this is the ultimate position. Not just stand back and shoot at the guy.
I sat behind a tree up on the hill while my brother shot at me for about 5 min. off and on. He was lucky if he got the tree. Not because of his accuracy, but there are othere trees and branches in the way that give you no shot.

there are two ways to obtain the high ground on a field. One, this is only if the high ground is kind of in the middle of the field, not alot closer to the opposite teams base, tht would be sucide. JUst rush the hill with about 50% of your people in the beginning of the game. You cannot stop though. Just get you teamates to give heavy cover and sprint to the hill like a banshee. The other tactic is to slowly sneak around an area where there is not much visiblity and the other team is not expecting an attack from that side of the hill. Once you get okay ground on the hill, start unloaindg on your nearest target and cause chaos, while this is happening have you teamates rush up the hill. This works every time for me

My advice is: dont go after it at all! Stay out of his range and when he gets frustrated from no action he may come down. If they are guarding a flag r something up there tho, then you have a problem!

Paintballs arc. use it to your advantage. if youre trying to take a hill, try to get your balls to arc over the crest. if they use snap firing theyll shoot and pull back for cover... this is when you should try to peg them. snipers cant hide from balls coming from above them. a good player turns his enemies advantages against them.
