View Full Version : Small scenario game ideas (need help!)
Me and my friends are trying to set up a scenario game using my land as a field. Its 7 acres, and we are building two forts, and two towers (2 stories, 15 feet high) in front of the forts. We're only using pump sidearms (mostly sidekick mods) and homemade spud guns that will be attached to the top of the towers (They work great, shoot 25 paintballs at a time). I've been looking up information on scenario games, but I can't seem to find any modes of play online. We're only going to have about 16 people, so thats a big difference from the 200-1000 people games that i've been reading about. So, I really need ideas for the game. What is a good story line? What are some good missions? How can we make this last 8, 12 or (hopefully) 24 hours? Please reply with any suggestion! Thanks

it sounds like you have a good setup for the game. if your friends all show up and your forts are as good as they sound, then you will have an excellent time playing a fun game of paintball. one good way to play with a very limited amount of players is to play a very extended game of capture the flag. divide your teams evenly in number and in skill. if you have two teams with the same skill level it will be much better for everyone. the style of elimination (we play) is to have a three hit limit. however, since the game doesn't end as soon as any other game, as soon as the player gets hit he returns to the original flag station. this way a player is not eliminated instantly. once a player is hit once or twice (as long as its not your whole team) he will stay back and play defense. the way to win is either to eliminate all of the opposite teams players or eliminate enough to get the flag and run back to your flag position.the most important thing is to have honest friends or have several refs.
have fun!!

well me and about 4 other frineds(5 players) play a little game which shouldnt take long which i dont think you really want but i'll tell anyways. Usually everyone knows these game but i guess its call protect the president or something. First you asign a "President" who would be un-armed. That President will have two Body Guards who will be armed. Then there will be two(or three if you want) Snipers who are armed and known as the enemy. After one is asigned a position, you set the course, all depends on how you actually want the course because the President has to get form a Point A to a Point B w/out being shot by the Snipers. And that were the Body Guard come to play, they have to escort and protect the President from Point A to Point B w/out the President being shot. If a body guard is shot he/she must trade positions and gun w/the President to keep the game going or if the Body Guard is shot, he is out as a kill and have one less guard. It Doesnt matter how the President gets to the Point B coming from Point A (as long in bounds) as long the President doesnt get shot, they are the winners.
Its a short simply game and you can have mini tournements between friend.

A good idea is called the Charge of the Light Brigade. It's kind of like Capture the Flag. Only, that the objective is not to capture the enemy's flag and return it to your own base. The object is to take YOUR flag and place it in the enemy's base. Kind of a cool twist.

Here are a couple small scenerio games that are fun to play, with a small group of people.
Downed Pilot
Downed Pilot is a game where one person either volunteers or is selected in some way to be the Downed Pilot, while all the other players become Hunters. To give the Downed Pilot some kind of an advantage, he gets a semi-automatic marker and something to use as a shield or the Downed Pilot gets to carry as much paint as he wants, while the Hunters are restricted to only twenty paintballs per person. The object of the game is simple, if you’re the Downed Pilot: Survive! If you are the Hunter: Eliminate the Downed Pilot. Note: If your group is rather large, you may wish to have two Downed Pilots in the game.
Rules
· If the Downed Pilot has the semi-automatic/shield option, hits on the shield do not count as an elimination.
· The Downed Pilot has a five-minute head start into the playing area and a signal must be given so the Downed Pilot knows when the game has started.
· All Hunters must start at the same time and place.
· When using the limited paint option, if a Hunter runs out of paint he is out of the game.
· Players who are eliminated may not communicate in any way to either team, such as indicating any intentions or locations of opposing team members.
· Players who are hit are eliminated from the game.
The Drop
The Drop is a game that preferably requires two equal teams, where one team has a Courier that must carry either a gear bag or a brief case to a designated location (also known as the Drop). The Courier cannot bring a paintball marker into the game and must rely on his teammates for protection. The opposing team is known as the Interceptors, who must try and stop the Drop from occurring. For the Courier team to win all Interceptors must be eliminated or they must successfully make the Drop. For the Interceptors to win they must eliminate the Courier and stop the drop from occurring.
Rules
· The bag or case cannot leave the Courier for any reason, he must be holding it at all times. If the Courier is eliminated the game is over.
· Players who are hit are eliminated from the game.
· Both teams must start at their designated locations and cannot leave that area until the game begins.
· Players who are eliminated may not communicate in any way to either team, such as indicating any intentions or locations of opposing team members.
Gte a copy of "The Complete Guide To Paintball" it has like 20 good scenarios.

play on public land. Aside from the occasional dirtbike and 4-wheelers ( who are very friendly) we have tons of land. Creeks, hills, there are even a few wrecked cars and old camper shells from trucks out there. When we play a big game, we have a couple of fun things. One person on each team can be a medic. They have an armband with a red cross on it, and they carry 10 "bandages". If somone is hit on the arm or leg, they can call for the medic. While the medic is working on the person, neither can be shot. SOme of us wear camoflauge life jackets that serve as "body armor". If hit on this, you are not out. It restricts movement, so it's a trade off. We have air cannons that can be used. Once my son and I even played "snipers" and camped out the night before in whatever position we wanted, fortifying and camoflauging our position. That time everyone know to start into the field with goggles on, guns ready. Other than tha, we play various missions. We have a small stuffed rhinocerous that acts like our flag.

We have one called Sudden Death. We have a time limit, and the game has to be over in that amount of time. It makes for a really fast paced game, and it can be paired with a ton of other games like Medic. We also have one called Jailbreak. If you get tagged you go to a jail. Then your teammates have to come and bust you out, while not being tagged by the opposing team who is guarding the jail. There is alot of tactics involved which makes it a ton of fun.

Here is one game I saw online but have never tried. You've all probably heard of it. First you break up into two equal teams and a judge takes a deck of cards, counts out one for each player on a team. There is a deck for each team. In each deck there is one jack and one king. Each player comes seperately and draws a card. Whoever get the king is the captain, this is made public. Whoever gets the jack is the traitor. The judge must know who the traitor is on each team and inform the other team about who the traitor is so they will not shoot him. The game is over when the King is out. Everyone knows who the king is but does not know who the traitor. I would think this would make for a very interesting game. It would be best if the king started behind the rest of the team for safety and so that he can keep an eye on the possible traitor. The bigger the area you have to play the better for this game.

Guten tag!
I call this, "No Mans Land". I'm kinnda making it up as I go along but I think it would be sweet. well....you should make some trenches it between your two bases and name it as NO MANS LAND. and the objective is......to hold no mans land at all costs. It like WWI.... trench warfare. close combat....death...a sweet hand to hand, close combat..whoa....its making me want to jump around in my basement all dressed in my cammo and with my gun and puding all over my face and signing WAR huh....what is it good for....lol ok i'll stop. But think how sweet it would be....drive your opponent off the field and make them retreat back to their fort and eliminate them....sounds sweet as h*ll to me..:D But I am the master of just thinking of games right from my head.....so if you or anyone are in need of some games....i'll look in my fileing cabinet and take out my book of games and take a look see.....Well I hope you have fun with it and good luck. As you can see i'm obsessed with power. lol :D When ever I play with my friends they always look to me to make the tacticle descicions....I am a tacticle genius. lol Cheerio.

You need to calm down a bit. This is paintball, and as nice as some good trenches would be to play in, you may need to try playing some Axis and Allies or something instead.

You are the kind of guy I'd like to run through the fields fighting against. Just tone it down a bit for the influencable kiddies out there. If it wasn't for us, then the campers would not have anyone to talk about. We make the game.

ok, Whoa tiger, kneel, sit, plotz, sitz in sie schtuhl. I don't know why your making a whopp-de-doo out of my little suggestion for a game although I know it sounded crappy, you didn't need to make it serious. No hard feelings or anything, but i'd like to be just on my way with no enemies (except those who I play with on my field.) I like you, your a good person, the kind who don't take crap from nobody. Congrats, your in my book of buddies. lol Where are you from? Well, Cheerio mate.

You are ok bud. I am from the Mighty State of Texas. I was originally concerned that you might rush out and begin digging trenches and pass out from exhaustion and wonder what the hell you were thinking the next day. Then I thought, hey! Why don't you come on down here and fix my field up with some trenches too! Anyhow, play hard comrade.

TEXAS?!?!?! Texas rules! I love the mighty good 'ole south myself. Used to live in Georgia for a while. So i'm a good 'ole southerner. lol I like what you said about the trenches. it was pretty good. I did that one time. I started building a bunker and dug a huge hole, I got a damn good work-out from it but then the next day I was like.......um....I did this why? and now its just a big 'ole pit thats used once and a while. I have some friends in Texas, they are a Waffen-SS reenacting group I know of, the 17SS, great group of guys. Well anyways, I'll be seeing ya around. Long live Dixie! Yeehaw! lol
