The VS and Ion perform very close. I'd get the VS2 over the VS3 since the regular triggers feel better, and all barrels fit the VS2.

The Ion is a basic EP marker.

The VS is a almost fully upped blowback.

Choose one.

Ion is a better base IMHO.
But I would even say why not look at wrath vrs promaster?
Both are in the same price range and are arguably better guns.

I'd go w/ the ion over any vs since it has more to offer down the road. I'd also look at the lasoya promaster which would be an even better gun.

ion for sure

smoother, quieter, more upgradeable, better operating system, better quality(even though ion quality isnt the best, its better than kingmans)

ion:tup:

Yeah quality is lacking in the ion compared to other high-ends but there's an aftermarket part for well nearly everything now so you can bring the quality way up.

If you could get your hand's on both and shoot them, it would help you feel what marker is more comfortable for you.

However if you can't shoot theem; reading reviews, comparing, and seeing what's in your price range is always the best choice.

As much as I hate Smartparts and it's Ions, I'm going to have to agree that the Ion is "better". However, the Wrath and Promaster are both way better guns in the same price range. The Ion is made by corporate filth, and Kingman isn't exactly known for making high-end markers.

Yeah well the wrath and promaster don't have a lot of love either. Smart Parts isn't the only one that sues ppl you know.

Ion is the way to go. The ion is more efficient, quieter, and can be a back up if you upgrade to a much better gun.

you should get an ion they are one of the most effiecent gun out right know that would be good for you

Dude totally well said!!!! Although if I were you go with the VS2. It is all personal preference but I would get it if I were you. BUt still it's your choice choose one. IF these posts aren't helping you, you should read some paintball magazines, or maybe even some reviews on this website. They help me a lot every time I want to buy something!! Good Luck

Uh no no no no and way no. The ion stock and even upped isn't very efficient. If you knew anything about spoolies you’d know that spool valves are inefficient. Except for the quest, fs8, and the shocker nxt spoolies suffer on the point of efficiency.

Spools are generally quieter and have less kick too.

I'd really reccomend the ion over the vs3, as it's electropneumatic (doesn't use springs, just uses air), has less kick, and is a little bit more efficent. It might not be all that great stock, but with the plethora of upgrades it has nearly limitless potential. The vs3 on the other hand cannot really become more efficent or have less kick than the ion does, so I don't really think that it is a great choice.

You might also look into the promaster because it's a nice marker in the same price range. Try out each and go from there, but I'd really suggest a ion or promaster over a vs3.

Are you being sarcastic? Because i really can't tell.

Anyway I'd go with the Lasoya Promaster or Wrath like some of the people above said. They're all round better markers.

The LP is better but not the wrath.

Rogue852
03-03-2007, 03:23 PM
I disagree. The wrath is more efficient, more reliable, more balanced when you hold it, and has a much more solid feel to it. Also the wrath is a FASOR which (this is just me i know others disagree) i like alot better then a spoolie. Alsos got a nice reg on it.

iliveforthis99
03-03-2007, 03:39 PM
The wrath isn't very reliable.

VS3's are basicly a VS2 with a rocking trigger frame. This is what it looks like to me, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I can post the usual long post about I would choose the Ion, but I would choose it. Or the lesoya.

iliveforthis99
03-03-2007, 05:13 PM
Yeah as far as i know that's the only difference besides color.

413sonix
03-03-2007, 07:03 PM
The VS3 also has the crappy barrel shroud and slightly different milling. The barrel shroud doesn't allow you to use all barrels. That's why VS2>VS3.
