Sorry for to many capitals in the topic but I need somethin to catch yalls attention.Alright, these reg things,II know they limit the co2/nitro going into a gun,I also know that the gas that comes of nitro (which I will mainly focusing on in this forum) at about 850 psi and I also know that semis run at 750 to 850 psi, so if you were to drop a reg below those you gun wouldn't work, right,so why drop it,also, what do you do to drop it and getting it more efficent and stuff,do you drop it to the pressure the gun runs at for the reg to do it's job.I really need to know!!!!

A regulator can be used at any pressure. It makes the shot to shot velocity a lot more consistant than an unregulated gun. Think about it. An unregulated gun may shoot fast then slow. These are called "spikes" in velocity. I regulator will reduce this so you will have more consistant shots.

To lower the pressure of you gun from say 800psi to like 500psi you need more than a regulator too. You need other parts. But yes this is benifetial because you will get more shots per tank in some cases and also you will have less "kick" on the gun.

A regulator is a good upgrade but is no essentil. A barrel and agitated hopper are good upgrades first.

You don't get more shots at a lower pressure. The gun needs a higher volume of gas to push the ball, instead of one quick, high pressure burst.

In LP, the amount of shots varies from gun to gun. Some LP guns are gas hogs and some aren't. It depends on how the gun is set up and the dwell settings.

Notice i said in "some cases"

A blowback like a spyder will get more shots by lowering the pressure.

My post wasn't directed towards you, Mcot. It is towards Schreinfeld.
