I'd definitly try to stay away from an EXTREMELY High end gun on the spectrum though, like I said, get an Evo, or maybe the MR series, also, Ions work, but keep in mind, Ions take ONLY HPA.

a really good gun is the MR1, its a really good price and really good for its price ranget at about 85 bucks NEW on xtremez.com its pretty good out of the box but you might want to upgrade the barrel but the stock one isn't that bad, you could also get a refurbished pilot acs 05 for 80 on firstcallpaintball.com or if you want a tippmann i think you can get a refurbished 98custom on actionvillage.com, if you end up getting the pilot acs you'll want to get an electric hopper such as a viewloader, my friend got the viewloader quantum, its 25 bucks on xtremez, if you end up getting the MR1 which i HIGHLY recommend then you'll have money left over for a new barrel, i would get either a 14" J&J ceramic or a 14" SmartParts Progressive which can both be found for 35 bucks on xtremez.com or you could get a Custom Products 14" One-Piece barrel which is 40 bucks on xtremez.com, long post but i hope it helps

Everything you listed is a epic waste of money. First the Pilot is better than the MR1 for speedball, and for a speedballer, the MR1 should not be considered. The Quantum feeds slower than gravity. A 98 Custom is worse than the Pilot for speedball. I wouldn't get the Progressive at all.

Omens don't suck for $120, but ya, don't post bst's in general.

If you only have CO2, get an Espyder or anti-siphon your tank and get a used Ion. If you have air, get a used Ion.

I would go with the ACS. Spyder's are easy to work over. There are several nicely up'd ones in the BST now, hint-hint.

yea if its speedball you want, then both the pilot acs and the spyder '06 imagine will do you some good

Pilot is great and fun and all, but when the bloody cocking pin starts flying out you'll have some probs using it for proper games.

Go with the Pilot ACS for sure, just get a good electronic hopper like an Egg II and you will be set for speedball. Not a fan of Ion's, since every other kid has one and IMO they are over-rated. No flmaing please, just my opinion.

I think I mentioned the MR1 already. Best marker for the price end of story.

Pilot is fun but has MAJOR issues with chops and the cocking pin flying out leaving you uncocked, chopped and unable to recock... Great for fun, OK for recball, but for tournaments it's neither legal nor practical.

It doesn't have major issues with chopping, it has the ACS bolt and if broken in works great. The cocking nob is also easy to fix by taking it out after you cock it and keeping it in your pocket.

Why is it not legal for tournament play?
