are there any benefits to a sawed off stock barrel?? You'll be less likely to poke someones eye out with it.:)
If you have an after market barrel (I think your pic in the pic thread shows one.) then go for it.
is a sawed off stock worth it? Well, it wont cost you anything but calories to saw it off.
Acuracy is diminished somewhat, but that's to be expected.
what are the benefits
It's good for close quarter games. Sometimes we play in an abandoned buildings, and it's great for those games. Especially with a drop forward or remote, it's nice and compact then.
If you do it, just make sure that you file down the rough spots on the end of it so a paintball wont be sliced by a little shard of metal.
You can always slap it on a talon too.:)

I made a tippy side arm. I sawed the barrel down to only 3 inches (bottom of threading to the tip) and sawed off the fore grip. It looks great and the barrel scares the **** out of newbies (loud as hell) and it does help in the tight fields.

koool. thats what im looking to use the it for. well not exactly. but to use it when im in tight spots. here is a pic of ONE of our bunkers and with two-three people in there, including the camera man/film equiptment, things get cramped, and i dont want my 14" smartparts progressive to get banged around anymore. i got a few scratches
