What is your price range? In my opinion the PMR is a nice gun.

My PMR has held up very well. I actully don't shoot it but my snake player uses it as he is a poor college student so I always let him use one of my back up guns. They shoot very well, a little loud though, but not a big deal.

In the $400 range you have PMR's, 2K5 Intimidators, and Fusions. Of those the 2K5 Intimidator is going to be a more robust marker but there's nothing wrong with the others.

I saw some PM5's with Musashi 6 Tadao boards posted on PBNation for $300 this morning. The used market via the B/S/T forums at sites like PBR and PBN can yield some excellent deals on used markers that can still hang with the newest and fastest.

Remember the abilities of the average tournament gun have not really increased for almost 3-4 years now. An '03 or '04 gun can, in many cases shoot just as fast, or just as efficiently as something that is brand new. The main difference you are going to find is looks and feel, newer markers are generally going to be smaller and lighter than their past incarnations. One must also acknowledge that there is a small risk involved dealing from person to person rather than through a store or impartial 3rd party.

With all of that said, I have a team mate with a PMR and it was a very impressive little gun right out of the box, very light and very fast. I would reccomend a new trigger for it and maybe a feed neck, but other than that they seem to be a very good gun for getting into tournament play. The only problem with the Rail is that it is a tad bit inefficient, but this is inherent in all spool valve (Matrix, Shocker) type markers. As long as you have all day air available to you, that shouldn't be much of an issue.
