I just got my intimidator today. it is real nice, i just need to get some air and test it out for real.
couple questions first-
How do u do the DIP switches thing?
What new bolt should i get (if any), and where to get it?
Where is that site that tells u how to do the lp mod?

THX

New bolt you dont really need too much, but it will help a bit. Mountaintpaintball has one

http://community-2.webtv.net/paintcocker/JWEnterprises/

and they're pretty much "The place" for custom intimidator stuff. For timmy info on Dip Switches, maintenance and the like go to

http://www.cei.net/~defiance/intimidator_faq.html

That place'll show you almost everything you need to know about the gun.

LP mod is here

http://www.pettypb.com/timilp.html

After LP mod I personally use a dwell time of 18, much quieter and softer than 16, but efficiency is slightly lowered. Any questions at all, you know I'll be more than glad to help :)

I just got a new Timmy also. I've got a Palmer Stabilizer on it and taken out the reg to turn into a volumizer chamber. I'm goin out to the field this weekend to set up the pressure. Does there LP mod involve anything else? And also, my trigger has the 3 screw holes, but only 2 screws in them, the middle hole is empty, should there be a screw there?

Yes, there has to be a screw there or the gun wont fire. If you pull the trigger and can hear the solenoid click, there is a screw in it. If not, call up whoever sent you the gun. There probably is a screw, it's in real far back. As for LP mod, as long as you took out the valve pin, everything should work great. Remember to leave in the parts they mentioned, and make sure you turned the piston around before putting it back in. The great thing about the LP mod, is that you can turn your LP reg (bolt movement, bottom one) way down, so the bolt slams around with less force, and you get less kick

Well, DIP switches arent unique to timmies, they're actually used on every electro gun, but I'll explain em to you. Dip switches simply are, a number of switches on the board that have two positions, on, or off. YOu select the guns settings using the DIp switches like this.

The timmy has 9 DIP switches in total. Assume you want the dwell to start at 18 ms. You look in your manual and it will give you the correct switch settings. It says (these are not actual settings, I'm making them up)

Change switches 6-8 to be 1,1,0 for dwell of 18
Change switches 6-8 to be 1,0,0 for dwell of 16
and so on

So you get the settings for a dwell of 18, and you open up the gun and you'll see the switches on the board. You take something long and small (a very small allen key works for me) and you change switch 7 to be on, 8 to be on, and 9 to be off. Different settings involve different switches, such as tourney lock is the last switch. If it is on, tourney lock is on, if it is off, tourney lock is off.

You wont be messin around with your DIP switches much ,I've only ever had to change em three times, once when i bought the gun, once before skyball (tourney lock) and once after skyball (tourney lock).

Where are the DIP swithes located in the gun? Behind which grip panel?

I might be intrested in purchasing a timmy but I am not sure how well the gun works with co2. I would much rathjer use co2 for cost reasons but if I have to get a 250 dollar N2 system for it then forget about it. Ill just buy another cocker or perhaps a different electro.

Actually, I have a shameful secret, I ran my gun on CO2 :( . I told everyone it wouldnt happen, but it did, I had extra balls to get rid of, and no nitro. That said, I didnt use an anti-syphon tank, used a vigilante regulator, and it was only about 15 celsius outside. bad conditions for CO2 let me tell ya. I fired off 280 rounds, wailing on the trigger so my tank was covered in frost thick enough you could peel it off, and I still got pretty tight groupings so the consistency was pretty good, and despite my misgivings, the gun did not explode when CO2 touched the internals. It works fine, even better if you use a stabilizer or other CO2 reg on it.

Does anyone really know how co2 performs with the timmie, and what real effect it has on the marker. Not all of us have access to nitro.

generally twitch is always right so go with that. It seems to me if you run antisyphon or remote (not both) you shouldn't have problems. your gun might get cold but other than that you should be fine.

generally Twitch is always right?

OK.... yeah.... good wording.. hehe

but I wouldn't screw around too much with your dwell. Usually its set where it should be by factory default (not always tho)

And as for a manual, you MUST get the new coloured version, it has details of how to maintain your gun, how to take it apart and even pictures of how to set the dips... so get it... umm at http://www.teamjoker.com/Data/Intimidator%20Manual.pdf

AIGHT??? DON'T always listen to Twitch.. he is OFTEN right.. but not always.... (but neither am I... )
