View Full Version : Gauge?

I obviously am an uber noob, and was wondering if there is a gauge to measure how much co2 there is in your tank, I hate getting stuck with a manually operating cyclone.

A gauge only measures HPA, Not CO2

Err, not really. A Pressure Gauge measures pressure. The type of gas is irrelevant.

Theoretically, if you had a steel run-tee, you could have the tee installed on the bottom of the ASA, then install your gauge and your steel braided or macroline on the other port......theoretically.

Sorry I don't follow you.

As long as there is liquid CO2 in the tank it will maintain a constant pressure. So a gauge is useless. When the gauge starts to read low, you are OUT. There will be other signs to let you know , like your marker starts farting and not recocking. As far as I know, the only way to know how much Co2 is in the tank is by weight.

I know what you are talking about pyrokitty ... I hated it too. That's why I got HPA. Anyway, instead of getting a guage, get the TechT Vortex Mod, it allows the cyclone to advance all the way until your gun farts out a.k.a. runs out of CO2. I never have to manually feed mine ...... ever since I have installed this mod.

When they fill your tank they weigh it to see if it is under filled, also to prevent over filling i believe they have some sort of check valve.

I have never heard of a gauge for Co2

The only way to correctly measure the amount of Co2 left is to use a scale and have the empty weight of the tank already established. I usually do a guestimate with mine and refill if I think I'm anywhere near empty.

Yes you obviously are an uber noob.......Jk lol.... But gauges only come on HPA tanks not C02, but sometimes I wish they did, cause it comes in handy when you run outta air and need your C02.

Like I said before, to give you an answer to your problem would be to get the Vortex Mod, it allows the cyclone the advance until your CO2 tank runs empty.

If you don't want to get the Vortex then just find out about how many shots you get per fill and then do the math. Add a hopper (200) + how many pods you get until you run out of CO2.

Note: The cyclone and the rt do not use any more gas, just EXCESS GAS which otherwise would be discarded.

Thanks for helping me, home much is the vortex? some site say 30 others say 60.

I think mine was $40, $60 is a rip-off. If you can find $30 then go with $30, just make sure it's a reputable site.

ok thanks. Kind of random but is the apex a barrel or a berrel mounted type thing.?.

Didn't I answer that in your other thread? Depends on the barrel? It won't fit your sniper barrel, I know that.

I'm aware of how the CO2 tanks are filled, and I agree that I have never seen nor heard of a gauge being installed on a CO2 tank. However, it is not impossible nor dangerous to do if one used the proper steel fittings. How useful it would be I don't know, and I probably won't try it since I like so many others use HPA. I was simply answering Pyrokitty's question.

I would save up your coins and purchase a cheap HPA tank. You'll never go back to CO2 Pyrokitty.
