Someone posted something about the trigger on their e-grip magnetizing to the little tab, causing it not to fire. I can't find the post, what should I do, jsut change the battery?

There is the trigger, and hten there is the allen screw that determines how far back the trigger has to go, then there is a little metal tab that contacts the screw, when the screw pushes the tab down far enough it clicks the solenoid ( I think it's a solenoid) and engages the sear. Well if the screw never breaks contact it doesnt reset.
I tapped it with ascrewdriver and its demagnetized now. But I want to kow if ther eis anything I can do to prevent this. The other guy said something about putting tape or paper over it.
TIA.

New info. It appears that the magnetizing effect is caused by the battery going dead. In the future, I would suggest changing batteries first, before doing what I did, which was manually adjust the sear height. Bah.
