I just bought a 14" Stainless Carbon Fiber barrel, and I was wondering if many of you have experienced the problem of the front part detaching from the back (shiny) part. Almost all the reviews on here say it's great, but a few mention a problem with the front part falling off or something, but can be fixed with glue or electrical tape...anyway, I was just curious if that was a common or rare problem. Thanks.

Hi, I saw that you owned the carbon fiber barrel and was interested in it myself. How is the accuracy, the distance, and the noise??? It claims that it can self clean through breaks, is that true??? I use rps big balls, the cheap crap and was also wondering if you knew the exact bore size. SORRY for all the questions! Also, many of the people I have played with that have owned the barrel had no such problem with it detaching from the stainless steel part and even if it did, 32 degrees has decent costomer service and would probable take care of it for you.
Drop me an e-mail at barboparty@myrealbox.com and Iam sure we could have some decent paintball conversation.

I think you'd hard pressed to get the carbon fiber part to separate from the base.
The very first game I played with my carbon fiber barrel, it took some serious abuse. I was in a top gear sprint (and I'm a fairly fast runner). As I was nearing the bunker I was running for, my foot snagged a small brush stump about 3 inches tall. I went down hard. My barrel went straight into the wood of the bunker. Since I still hadn't let go of the gun, it took a lot of the inertia from my body weight as well. The barrel left a deep mark in the bunker. There was a ring left where the barrel hit that was about 1/8 of an inch deep. It scratched the hell out of the end of the barrel, but there was no real damage. I've had the barrel for about 9 months now, and have never had any problems.
I'm not going to spark an argument about accuracy or anything. I just know it works well with the paint I use.
I will say that it is by far the quietest barrel I've ever heard. With that barrel, and some modifications, my Model 98 is quieter than most autocockers, and even some electros. I did side-by-side comparisons to a good 20 different gun setups, and it was quieter than most on my field. Unless I do something stupid to expose myself in a game, the other team has a hard time telling where the balls come from. My position is rarely given away by the sound of my gun alone.

Hey, Thanks for the info. I guess it checks out for durability and noise, but what did you mean when you said you didnt want to start arguements about the accuracy?? Does that mean thats its really accurate or on the nothing special side?

All you have to do is read "The TRUTH about range and accuracy" thread to know what I mean.

I got a 14' Carbon Fiber myself :D
I've used it many times on my tippmann 98 custom and i love that thing. Its light weight except for the back end... so it kinda evens it out. over the past year i haven't had one problem with the barrel. The only thing agaisnt this barrel is how it scratches easily... but it effects nothing. I haven't had that seperation problem like you said others had. Anyways I really enjoy playing with this barrel and since i'm no longer a tippmann owner i might be selling mine to this kid so loves it too. I'm proud to step above the tippmann and be a new owner of an Blue Vertical Feed Autococker. I was about to get a barrel converter but i don't trust those.... instead i got a JT 2 piece for it.
Anyways i think i'm talking too much... Enjoy the carbon fiber! I know i did.
Half the fun is shooting a Cocker, the other have is upgrading.
