Please pardon the minor cross-post.

A friend of mine has started to make quick disconnect fitting for the PT Enforcer, PT Punisher and PT Extreme line of pistols that do not require a bottomline set-up. This means that if you run remote on your primary marker then all you need do to give your pistol virtually unlimited gas (and save a buck a pop on 12g cartridges) is pop your remote off of the marker and onto the pistol - this takes a little less than 4 seconds. The nice thing about this set-up is that it does not impede the pistol being holstered in almost any holster.

Before he starts manufacturing them by the dozen he has asked me to find out how many people are interested in getting one of these. I use one of them on each of my CORE PT Pros and, personally, I'd never go back.

So, this is not an advertisement. I am not taking orders, I just want to know how many people are interested. If you think this is neat, please email me at averya@telus.net and thank you.

Nope, it's not NPT, or any other common thread. I'm told its a bizarre african hose thread. We have to custom turn these threads onto large fittings by hand.

Well hate to break the news to you ,but I know where to get the fittings for it for alot less. A store a few towns away sell them cheap. Also on the pt extreme you can get a 12 gram thats drill and tap to fit 1/8 pipe threads nipples also. then you hook the remote to that.

If you can find the fittings for a PT Pro, then be all means do so. When I went to every airsmith in my town and couldn't, then went to Greenline hose and fitting wholesalers and they couldn't find anything in any warehouse or catalog on the continent, I figured they just weren't that common. The fact that the largest air fitting supplier in Canada cannot get them and suggested custom turning them supports my conclusion. As a second note, I'm not talking about PTX's, they are an altogether different beast that the PT Enforcer based PT Pro and PT Punishers.

Well another way of doing it tap it out to fit the nipple

There's that, but...

1) I can't offer to do that for a bunch of people out there
2) That is a permanent physical modification to the marker that could mess it up, and lower resale value
3) If you ever decide not to run remote, it's not nearly as reversible as simply taking a fitting out, you'd have to make a new plug with a 1/8 NPT thread - not hard, but still more work for people that may or may not have the tools to do all of this.

Anyways, I thought this was the most graceful solution for getting a remote on MY pistols, and I'm simply offering to share the jigs that my friend made up to do it. :|
